Four-pick cross-sport parlay for today 8/21 (+865 odds)

We’ve put together a cross-sport, 4-pick parlay that will take you through Sunday, including picks from the EPL, MLB, MLS, and NFL preseason. A selection is made from each sport and a winning ticket would net us a nice payout at odds of +865 at DraftKings Sportsbook.

Let’s break down each of these pieces.

EPL: Manchester City win to zero (+115) over Newcastle United, 11:30am ET

Manchester City have already brushed aside West Ham and Bournemouth with clean sheets, beating the Magpies on both occasions last season. It was 4-0, 5-0 when these two met the previous season and little had changed in Newcastle’s ranks to suggest they could still fight harder. Better days will come for Newcastle this season but this is unlikely to be one of them.

MLB: Minnesota Twins ML (-190) via Texas Rangers, 2:10 p.m. ET

Minnesota is in a great place in this game as Joe Ryan will be on the mound. The rookie is targeting his 10th win and his 3rd win this month. He’s been shaky against the league’s top Los Angeles Dodgers but has dominated nearly every other team he’s expected to beat.

Combined with the Texas Rangers producing just one run against a poor Oakland Athletics pitching staff, Ryan and the Twins should lick their chops. Coupled with Minnesota’s lineup, which is completely healthy, they can put some pressure on the rest of their division with a win.

MLS: Portland Timbers vs. Sporting Kansas City – Both Teams to Score (-185), 7:30 p.m. ET

These teams met head-to-head in May when the Portland Timbers crushed Sporting Kansas City with a 7-2 home win. Sunday is unlikely to be as one-sided but the goals should be able to find the back of the net. Portland has scored 20 goals while conceding 25. SKC should be able to get past that Portland away defense and retaliate for the beatings they took in May. Because of this, the game will be to assist both teams to score in this game.

NFL Preseason: Baltimore Ravens -6 (-110) v Arizona Cardinals, 8:00 p.m. ET

The Baltimore Ravens are one of the league’s best preseason teams, and their success is legendary at this point. John Harbaugh is 37-15-1 ATS in his preseason career, having routinely owned the month of August. The dominance only gets more impressive as the Ravens are undefeated in their last 21 preseason games and haven’t lost since 2015. Because of this, the game will be to assist the Ravens to win and cover.
