GCL System Integration Brings N-Type Innovation TOPCon and Latest BIPV Products to PV EXPO 2023

SUZHOU, China, March 27, 2023 /CNW/ — GCL System Integration Technology Co., Ltd. (“GCL SI” or “the Company”) (Shenzhen:002506), a leading photovoltaic (PV) company in Chinahas announced the unveiling of its latest solar innovations, the TOPCon and BIPV module (GCL SPV) of type N, presented at PV EXPO 2023. Japan’s largest exhibition for the PV industry held at Tokyo Big Sight March 15-17. At the booth, GCL SI presented to visitors from all over the world how its new offering integrated with cutting-edge solar technology is catalysing and helping the development of the PV industry Japan accelerate towards its decarbonization goals.

“At GCL SI we pride ourselves on being a leading innovator in the renewable energy space, constantly pushing the boundaries of the PV industry with our diverse offering of state-of-the-art solutions. In recent years we have had the privilege of presenting our products at PV EXPO, which has allowed us to showcase our technological breakthroughs to facilitate the global energy transition Asia be the leading trade fair for the solar industry again and get in touch with old and new friends again. This time, we’re excited to unveil our latest products, including the TOPCon and BIPV module (GCL SPV), which represent our unwavering commitment to advancing sustainable technologies,” he said Thomas ZhangPresident of GCL SI.

TOPCon solar module

As the solar industry adopts N-type modules because of their advantages, GCL SI has intensified its R&D efforts to produce new generation products that meet the needs of a rapidly developing market. With an exceptional conversion efficiency of over 22.5%, the GCL SI N-type TOPCon is a bifacial monocrystalline module designed to offer superior reliability and performance while reducing LID and LeTID.

Earlier this year, the company unveiled a plan for a manufacturing facility in New York China is dedicated to the production of 20GW of TOPCon high-efficiency solar cells, which will be equipped with first-class automated production equipment and digitized and intelligent equipment, which will expand both the R&D and production capabilities of GCL SI in the development of high-efficiency PV cells.

With a new production base, GCL SI has also formulated a clear product roadmap and mass production plan for its TOPCon N-type solar modules, which are both low-cost and high-performance. The base also serves as a springboard from which GCL SI intends to further strengthen its synergistic competitive advantage in the upstream industrial chain and consolidate its leadership in the development of the latest generation of PV technology.

BIPV solar panel

The building-integrated photovoltaic products (BIPVs) are considered a low-carbon and sustainable solution to achieve carbon neutrality. Architects are increasingly choosing BIPVs as a cost-effective, environmentally friendly solution that can generate long-term economic benefits for investors while offering a tailored aesthetic that complements any architectural style. At the event, GCL SI showcased its BIPV module, a bifacial solar panel engineered to offer outstanding safety and durability, and to offer industry-leading reliability and performance.

BIPV comes with a 12-year product warranty and a 25-30-year linear performance warranty and has achieved an A ranking in the non-combustibility test of refractory components of building materials. In addition, it has over-temperature protection and excellent water resistance, which ensures optimal performance in all weather conditions. The system’s simplified structure reduces the cost of replacing parts, and the automatic cleaning function minimizes user maintenance.

“The development of these two products adds new impetus to our company’s innovation as we seek new solutions to enable the world to achieve net-zero carbon goals. Looking ahead, we will continue to strengthen our R&D capabilities and expand our global footprint to deliver our premium, high-performance solar products that are more accessible to users worldwide,” said Thomas Zhang.
