Will Harry and Meghan Attend King Charles’ Coronation?

Prince Edward has been created the new Duke of Edinburgh, taking on his late father’s title.

A statement from Buckingham Palace said he would accept the title from today, March 10, his 59th birthday.

His wife Sophie, the former Countess of Wessex, is now the Duchess of Edinburgh and their 15-year-old son James, Viscount Severn, is the new Earl of Wessex.

Buckingham Palace has officially updated the Royal Family’s website to reflect the new titles of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s children.

Formerly known as Master Archie and Miss Lilibet, the follow-up page on the website now lists the children as Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet of Sussex.

The couple christened their daughter Lilibet in a small ceremony in Montecito, California last week.

Questions about whether the couple will attend the King and Queen Consort’s coronation still hang over the occasion.

A spokesman for Harry and Meghan said: The times that they have received “email correspondence” about the coronation, but no decision has been announced as to whether or not to accept the invitation.

Harry and Meghan’s children Archie and Lilibet were given the royal titles of Prince and Princess

Prince Harry and his wife Meghan’s children will be officially named Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, it has been confirmed.

The confirmation comes after Lilibet was christened Princess Lilibet Diana at a ceremony in California on Friday (March 3).

It is understood that the King knew beforehand that the Sussexes intended to name their daughter Princess Lili and that there had been correspondence to that effect.

Originally, Lilibet, one, and her older brother Archie, three, were not given HRH titles at birth due to their position in the line of succession. At the time of their birth, they were the great-grandchildren of Queen Elizabeth II.

Buckingham Palace staff have been told the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are to attend the King’s coronation, it has been reported.

Harry and Meghan will be included in all arrangements including cars, seating at Westminster Abbey and food, the Daily Mail said.

The couple, who have begun using the titles prince and princess for their children in an “alignment” with the palace on the matter, have yet to confirm whether they will attend the historic ceremony on May 6.

It is understood there is no news from the Sussex camp as to whether they will be present at Charles and the Queen Consort’s coronation.

Harry and Meghan’s ‘factually inaccurate’ statement on Lilbet’s christening

Good morning Britain Hostess Kate Garraway has pointed out a factual inaccuracy in the statement from representatives of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex announcing the christening of their one-year-old daughter Lilibet.

The statement read: “I can confirm that Princess Lilibet Diana was christened on Friday March 3 by the Archbishop of Los Angeles, Rev. John Taylor.”

During the Thursday installment of Good morning BritainHowever, host Garraway claimed the statement contained a “factual inaccuracy”.

Speaking alongside Ben Shepherd on Thursday’s show, Garraway explained, “They have issued a statement saying that Princess Lillibet was christened by the Bishop of Los Angeles last Friday.”

She continued, “But actually in the statement they called him the Archbishop of Los Angeles, which is factually inaccurate and you just think, my goodness, someone so keen on accuracy and representation – it seems so unhelpful that such things are wrong.”

“You’re worried the Sussexes aren’t particularly helping each other, aren’t you?” she added.
