Here’s how to make your first TikTok video

There is no denying that TikTok is one of the most popular social media platforms in 2022. It is a popular platform for creating a plethora of viral and trending content. There are currently over 1 billion users on TikTok. If you’re interested in joining the community and getting active, here’s how to get started creating your first TikTok video.

Thankfully, once you’ve created an account, uploading your first video is pretty easy. TikTok shared a quick step-by-step guide here. Check out the more detailed process below.

1. Locate the + sign at the bottom of the screen. You can press this or the “Create Video” button on your profile page.
2. You can upload a video from your camera roll or record a new video by clicking the “Record” button.
3. If you’ve decided to record directly in the app, remember that you can create videos that are 15 seconds, 60 seconds, three minutes, or even 10 minutes long.
4. After recording, use the “Adjust Clips” button in the right side menu to trim your video.
5. There is a button at the bottom of the screen that allows you to add music and sounds. Use the search bar to find audio that goes with your video.
6. From there you can also add effects, stickers, and text. You can also find these in the right-hand menu.
7. You also have the option to add subtitles if you speak in your video that you think is not clear.
8. Press Next at the bottom of the screen when you’re done editing.
9. From here you can add hashtags and tag other TikTok users. You may also want to adjust the settings, e.g. B. Choose whether other users can duet with your video or not.
10. Press “Post” to make the video live!

How to make a TikTok video from multiple clips

You’ve probably noticed that experienced TikTok users often have multiple videos, photos, or clips in their videos instead of a single shot. This allows for more creativity and content possibilities. Here’s how to do it yourself.

1. Press the + button at the bottom of the screen.
2. You now need to access your camera roll. Go to “Upload” on the bottom right and then press “Videos”. This will filter your camera roll to only show videos.
3. From there you can select multiple videos. You can also add photos if you like. Press Next when you have selected the videos and photos you want.
4. Use the Adjust Clip button to rearrange the videos.
5. Add music and sound effects if you want, or choose Standard if you want to use the original sounds of the videos. Then tap Next.
6. Add video effects, stickers, text and more. You can even add a voiceover with the option to overlay it with the original audio of your videos.
7. Add a caption and hashtags and tag other users.
8. Publish the video!

How to delete a TikTok video

Not every video will come out exactly as you imagined. Maybe you noticed a misspelled word, an audio error, or maybe you just feel like the video is a little startling now that you’ve watched it a few times. Regardless of the reason, you can delete a TikTok video before anyone sees it.

How to delete a TikTok video:

1. Open the TikTok app and go to your profile.
2. You’ll see a list of the videos you’ve created.
3. Click on the TikTok video you want to delete and you will see three dots on the bottom right.
4. This opens a new menu. On the far right you will see a trash can.
5. Press the trash can to delete the video. Press “Confirm” to proceed to delete TikTok video.

If you no longer like a TikTok video but don’t want to delete it permanently, try making the TikTok video private. Use the three dots again to find the “Privacy” section and select “Who can watch this video”. You will see an option to make the TikTok video private by clicking “Only me”.
