Here’s How to Manifest Prosperity by Understanding Your Brain

We all have two choices. React to the world and all of its circumstances, or choose the conscious path of reaction. In every moment of every day we are allowed to choose which path we take. The one where we are the victim of things we don’t like or disagree with, or the creative one where we imagine, wait and listen to inspirational actions. Then take these actions to build our desired life.

When I was homeless and living in my car, it’s safe to say I hit rock bottom. Struggling to survive in college, I quickly used up my last $1.76. Admittedly, I went down the path of a pity party first. I felt and believed I was powerless.

Then, thanks to the kindness of a substitute teacher, everything began to change almost overnight when I discovered Napoleon Hill’s writing. I matched his philosophies to my narrative and began building wealth in my mind, which in turn quickly led to abundance. You may be wondering how I managed to do that. I will share my process with you here.

Here are 3 steps to manifesting wealth:

  1. Take a close look at your money story.
The first step in building wealth in your life is to take a good look at your money history. You must also accept that your story about money may not be your story. When we are born, our parents make many decisions for us, including our relationship with money. We are told stories about money as children that are not even our own.

We hear things like “money is hard to come by” or “money is the root of all evil” or “money has to be earned” or “money doesn’t grow on trees”. Every version of this type of narrative is based on scarcity and powerlessness over money.

It is not possible to believe these stories about money and manifest wealth at the same time. Therefore, the first step is to take stock of all your beliefs about abundance and be willing to part with those that stand in the way of manifesting abundance.

  2. Decide exactly what you want.
The next step is to take the time and space to decide exactly what you want. While this sounds simple, many people have no idea what their heart desires. Most build a life trying to fix something in the past rather than being the architect of a future in which they live their happiest and best life.

To do this, we must take the time to build our vision in our mind from a heart space. The more detailed, the better the result. A good way to do this is to sit still, listen to music that moves you, and journal until your vision feels complete.

  3. Commit to your vision.
Commitment is key. Bottom line: if you don’t see results, don’t commit to your vision. You see, the brain has receptors known as neurotransmitters. These connectors carry our stories from our subconscious to our conscious mind. The visualization replaces old transmitters with new ones. This process is called neuroplasticity.

In this process, the more we can imagine our future as if it had already happened, the faster and more effective the result. That’s because your subconscious doesn’t know time. So when you’re sitting in your new home and you’re feeling perfectly peaceful in your vision, your brain thinks it’s already happening. Then it goes to work and adjusts what you are visualizing. It seeks evidence of the vision.

Although this is very elementary, it is enough to help you understand that visualization is not only a spiritual practice but also scientific.

In summary, if you want wealth, you must understand that your current money situation is the result of every thought and emotion you have ever experienced. This has created millions of neurotransmitters in your brain. The good news is that it won’t take you that same number of years to create wealth, especially if you commit to your vision on a daily basis. For best results, wake up in the morning and start your day with your future self. Before you know it, you’re sitting in your dream life trying to convince the naysayers that science works.
