How tall is Zay Flowers? Height, weight the only things that can hold Boston College WR back in 2023 NFL Draft
The 2023 NFL Draft has plenty of wide receiver talent, but there’s no consensus for the No. 1 option at the position. Instead, a handful of players compete to be among the top recipients selected in the first and second rounds of the draft.
One of these players is Zay Flowers.
The Boston College recipient made a huge impression on talent reviewers with the tape he posted during his college career. He has excellent hands, great speed and should have the ability to be a top starter at the NFL level.
But as is so often the case with flowers as an interested party, there is a disadvantage.

NFL Network’s Daniel Jeremiah outlined Flowers’ shortcoming when he mocked the Saints receiver with the 29th pick overall in his latest mock draft.
“He would be a top 15 lock if he were two inches taller,” Jeremiah wrote.
In fact, Flowers is a bit smaller and that could hurt him in the race for first receiver off the board.
But how tall is Zay Flowers? Here’s what you should know about Boston College’s product as he prepares for a key measurement at the 2023 NFL Combine.

Zay Flowers height, weight
Flowers was listed at 5-10 while at Boston College. That’s on the small side for a receiver, but it certainly wouldn’t stop a team from including him, especially after the strong bond he forged during his time at Boston College.
However, Flowers was listed at just 172 pounds during his time with the Eagles. NFL teams might be concerned about its durability at the next level because of this, as smaller players tend to deal with more nagging injuries.
The good news for Flowers is that he has spent time preparing for the event. A recent picture showed he had put on 13 pounds of muscle mass in preparation for the combine.
So if Flowers can measure better than expected and perform well, it will help further establish him as a potential – if not likely – first-round pick.

Zay Flowers 40 times
According to NFL Draft Buzz, Flowers is scheduled to run a 4.37 40-yard dash. Measuring this time would help allay any concerns that teams might have about Flowers’ height and weight combination as they could at least see him as a fast playmaker on the slot.
In truth, flowers should shine in the drills on the pitch. So adding to that performance and his tie with a strong 40 time might be enough to convince a team to put an early pick on him.
If Flowers were to run slower than expected, teams could worry about his ability to part ways with a larger, more physical cornerback. But any time in the 4.3 range or a low 4.4 would do more to help than hurt Flowers’ draft stock.

Zay Flowers outline projection
As previously mentioned, Flowers cracked the first round of Daniel Jeremiah’s latest mock draft. He’s not the only one who has flowers in this area.
ESPN’s Mel Kiper led Flowers to the Ravens at No. 22 overall in his recent taunt. Todd McShay’s mock draft two weeks earlier had brought Flowers to the Giants with the 25th pick.
Even if Flowers makes it out of the first round, he probably won’t last long. Sporting News’ Vinnie Iyer picked Flowers early in round two with the 39th overall pick. That would land him with the Raiders.
Either way, it appears Flowers is a top 50 prospect in the 2023 NFL Draft; and at this point, unless his size scares off the most interested teams, it would be a surprise to see him escape the first 40 picks.
