We learned that every time you adjust the toe (without turn. That is sounding like a decent option now! I use a very large adjustable wrench to adjust shims once installed.
Our caster adjuster allows you to tune this important setting that the factory left out. These allow you to turn the bushing and ‘dial in’ the alignment. Use the above image to determine if you have positive or negative camber.
Use a pry bar to lever the trunnion (2a) out from between the ends of the shock arms. The camber should be neutral or slightly negative (ie tilted inwards at the top of the wheel). You have to keep in mind that the suspension has rubber bushings.
Camber shims alter the spindle angle slightly to adjust camber. Dial in precise camber and caster adjustments. All you have to do is drive in a straight line and then look at the ties.
They could get camber with these but not caster, they are oe style but once you need these bigger degree bushings, get the adjustable 1s with the caster sleeve inside the camber,i waited too long to return i just found out. They allow up to 25% greater range of adjustment. I saw the aftermarket camber adjust bushings and bolt set can adjust up to 1.25 degrees.
I compared it to some new 2 degree camber bushings and estimated that the on my truck are probably around 1 degree. Once you have set the camber and caster, you can adjust the toe. Negative camber is seen when the top end of a car's wheel is pointed in towards the center of the car.
In fact, the added camber actually makes the car handle better when driven harder. If your camber is off by a few degrees you have two options. The camber bushings for the rear will do the job.
4.0 out of 5 stars a must for any lifted vehicle to adjust camber. The toe adjustment will absolutely have an affect on the camber of the wheels. Remove the old bushings (2d).
Camber bushings don't go bad. Loosen the pinch bolt /nut (2e, 2f) that hold the shock arms (2g) together. If the front end is tight then the only thing that throws of camber is spring sag.
I just know with certain cars, when an angle can't be brought into spec, and there is nothing visually bent, that there are certain. These bushings adjust both caster and camber at the same time. I took a look and it looks to have a camber adjustment bushing installed for positive camber.
Use camber adjusting shims or camber adjusting upper ball joints. And, it improved the ride of the car quite a bit. The shims on ttb will change camber and caster at the same time when rotated.
Aftermarket adjustable bushings are available as well. I measured the gap between the body tab where the adjustment bolt/screw goes and the fwd subframe bushing collar. These allow you to turn the bushing and 'dial in' the alignment.
Getting factory shims out may be quite a project, especially on older trucks. I knew my subframe needed to be moved to the left to equalize my ability to adjust camber and then adjust in as much caster possible (mentioned later). A two inch lift kit on an older twin ibeam f150 like mine requires at least 3.5 degrees correction.
You must adjust the nuts to bring them closer to or farther from the frame of the car if the camber is out or in respectively. When we did our first home alignment, this was where we screwed up. You just change them or rotate then to adjust camber and caster.

Using the tool start shifting the subframe. These bushings adjust both caster and camber at the same time. I may check the angles i'm at and try that if it would add enough adjustment.
Repeat the steps if needed. Race cars, in contrast, are fitted with steel spherical bearings or very hard urethane, metal or plastic bushings to provide optimum rigidity and control of suspension links. Off and on over the spring and summer for my near future front suspension upgrade and modification instead of off set bushings that would wear and move around as people claim.
Set camber at zero for both sides, ensuring bottom of upper ball joints are pointing back. Order camber/caster alignment bushings for your vehicle and pick it up in store—make your purchase, find a store near you, and get directions.
