How to change your PS4 name
Here is the easiest way to change your name on PS4.
Anyone who owns a PS4 account may remember the first time they were asked to create their own online ID, the name by which friends and family can find you on the platform.
However, as with many things, you may decide that the username you chose all those years ago no longer quite reflects you. Whether it’s a show you’re no longer interested in or you just want to change the name you’ve worn all these years, changing your online ID is easier than you might think.
It’s important to note that while the first name change is free, you’ll have to pay a small fee of £7.99 each time you want to change your online ID. So you should think long and hard about what you would like your new name for me.

- Sign in to your PS4 account
- Click Settings
- Click Account Management
- Click Account Information
- press profile
- Click Online ID
- Press I accept
- Press Next
- Enter your email address and password
- Choose your new name and press Confirm

Turn on your PS4 and select your account to get started.

Click the Settings button in the menu.

Click on the button called Account Management.

Press the button called Account Information.

Choose the Profile button.

Click the button labeled Online ID to change your name.

Press I accept. We recommend that you read through the terms and conditions before proceeding so that you understand what can happen if you change your online ID, e.g. B. Problems with games that only recognize your old online ID.

After reading the terms, click Next.

9Enter your email address and password
You may be prompted to enter the email address and password associated with your account so Sony can verify that you really are the account owner. Enter your information and click Next.

10Choose your new name and press Confirm
Choose a new name for your Online ID and when you’re happy, press Confirm. A small checkmark will appear next to your name if it’s available. If not, you’ll have to think of a new name.
Troubleshooting
If you wish to change your name more than once you will need to pay a fee of £7.99.
