How to connect your Poké Ball Plus to Pokémon Go
To play Pokémon Go with your Poké Ball Plus, you must first pair your controller with the app.
- Ensure Bluetooth enabled on your device.
- Open Pokemon Go and click the Pokeball in the middle of the screen to open the menu.
- Open the settings by pressing gear icon in the top right corner of the screen.
- Press OK to allow Pokémon Go to use Bluetooth.
- Scroll to the bottom of the settings menu and press Pokeball Plus.
- Press the top button on your Poké Ball Plus and it should appear underneath available devices.
- choose yours Pokeball Plus in available devices to connect it.
Once you’ve linked your Poké Ball Plus to your account, you can link it directly from the main Pokémon Go screen.
- Open Pokemon Go.
- Press the Pokeball icon in the top right corner of the home screen.

How to use your Poké Ball Plus to play Pokémon Go

- Vibrate and blink green = A previously caught Pokémon is nearby.
- Vibrate and blink yellow = a new Pokemon is nearby.
- Vibrate and flash blue = a Poké Stop is nearby.
To catch a Pokémon with your Poké Ball Plus, press the button on top of the controller. The Poké Ball Plus will flash white three times to indicate that you’ve thrown a ball. If you successfully catch the Pokemon, the ball will flash a multicolored rainbow light. If you failed, it will flash red.
If you press the top button to catch a Pokemon and it immediately flashes red three times, it means you’re either out of Pokeballs or out of space in your box.
To spin a Poké Stop, press the top button. If successful, rainbow lights will flash. If a Pokémon is currently in your Poké Ball Plus, it will automatically rotate the PokéStop for you.
