At this time in Persona 5 Royal, you went through your fourth dungeon to steal the heart Futaba Sakura, Sojiro’s adopted daughter to absolve her of guilt in her mother’s death. The dungeon is kind of depressing, but if it means helping Futaba, the Phantom Thieves will give everything they have. If you need a little help getting through this notoriously tough and emotional battle, we’ll walk you through it.
preliminary information
What Shadow Wakaba lacks in weaknesses, she definitely has in attacks, so taking on her in combat won’t be easy. Before heading into the boss fight, take a second to make sure your bases are covered.
You’ll almost certainly take a lot of damage in the upcoming fight, so make sure you have a healer on your team, as well as a collection of items that heal and nullify status ailments. Since physical attacks are the ticket to the latter part of the fight, someone with heavy physical attacks may like Ryuji will definitely come in handy.

Since your group didn’t actually do that Find the treasure itself last time, you still have some work to do before your boss fight. Fast travel to the Corridor Summit Safe Room and board the elevator.
Take the stairs up until you then have a choice of direction turn left. Straight will lead you to several shadows, and with a tough fight ahead, you’ll be wishing you got your HP and SP as you fight them so it’s easier to sneak past them.

First stage
Her battle with Shadow Wakaba begins with her flying around the pyramid and Your attacks won’t do much damage here. As right now nothing will do too much, Your best bet at this stage is Strengthen your defenses if possible, guard against her attacks and inflicting status ailments when she uses them, and cure you.
The real focus right now is waiting and keeping everyone alive because eventually Shadow Wakaba will blow up and disappear.
She’s obviously not gone, but there’s absolutely nothing you can do to harm her right now. She does, however, charge for a Celebration attack, so Take a round or two to heal everyone in the party as much as possible.
Then, Have everyone block on the second or third turn before Shadow Wakaba unleashes her sphinx leap.
Even if the team is guarding, this attack will still hurt – a lot. Depending on your difficulty, your mileage may differ, but Anyone above half HP should be left alive, So plan accordingly in the turns leading up to the divebomb attack.
The good news is that you now have an extra hand in combat after surviving this attack. Futaba comes to her own palace while you fight her shadow mother and after a cutscene She awakens to her Persona Necronomicon.
Now, Futaba supports you in fights. Adding them to the team initiates you into the next phase of the fight against Shadow Wakaba.
After awakening the Necronomicon
With Futaba on her team, she uses her computer skills to hack a ballista to her palace for you.
Firing requires Send one of your teammates away to actually take the shot, which takes a few turns. Without much, you can do without the ballista and take your time heal then last dive bomb.
Once the ballista is fired, Shadow Wakaba will fall for a few turns. While she’s lying on the floor like this Physical attacks and weapon attacks deal approximately five times the damage like they did from afar, so lay into her with everything you’ve got before she gets back up.
And get up again, she will. You have to go through this entire process twiceas Shadow Wakaba gets up and starts flying again. As before, you can’t actually damage her while flying, so don’t waste the SP. For now, focus on healing and weakening the defenses and wait for the second ballista shot to knock them down a second time.
When their health is depleted enough, You enter a heist scene, where you fire the final shot to finally defeat Shadow Wakaba.
You’ll see a delightfully heartwarming scene immediately followed by an anime segment of your frantic escape from the palace as it collapses behind you. It turns out that Futaba was the treasure of her own palace and stealing her from it means the palace will disappear. Enjoy the cutscene of your team on the run, then enjoy biding your time until Futaba awakens from her exhaustion sleep at the end of your deadline to join the Phantom Thieves for good.
