Voke is the first hell in the game and comes right after the tutorial. Here you unlock Persephone (a shotgun) that will come in handy for the first (of many) bosses on your Metal journey. Let’s look at a few tips for this fight.

Voke’s The Red Judge Aspect Overview

As the first aspect you encounter in this (heavy) rhythm experience, this boss will teach you the basics of any boss fight. For example, until the end you encounter these flying heads with wings. Of course, they will all have different abilities and some unique features, but they will also share attacks and mechanics.

THEGAMER VIDEO OF THE DAY

The Red Judge aspect in Voke can teleport from side to side (there will be orange particles if this is the case) and throw fireballs. The fireballs can be shot in different ways: Two are often thrown in a row from one of its sidesor create one horizontal line consisting of five projectiles.

However, it is not. This aspect will produce small explosions if you get too close And something you should learn from now on is that bosses have a second bar under their health bar. This bar recharges automatically, but increases faster with the damage you deal to the boss.

Once it is full, the aspect is made a special action, and then become stunned until the gauge is depleted. On this occasion, Voke’s aspect throws multiple projectiles in a straight line.

Finally the bosses spawn enemies after they have recovered from their anesthetic. Sometimes (usually the first time) they’ll disappear from the stage while their minions attack you, but watch out for them to appear as the battle progresses as well.

How to defeat the boss in Voke

First of all, you should realize that your arena has quite a few of these red crystals (the ones that make explosions) and green crystals (which heal you). You can leave the former to the normal enemies as you will destroy them instantly when they get close to the crystal.

One green crystal alone will heal your entire life, so don’t use them right away.

Now, speaking of the boss itself, this first iteration shouldn’t cause you too much trouble if you follow a few simple tips. for starters, It is not recommended to use your sword against this or one of the upcoming bosses.

The reason is that unless you move in and out fairly quickly, you’re going to be too exposed. It’s not really worth it considering how much damage you can dish out with this weapon. Also, it’s hard to predict when the boss will use his blast move, leaving you vulnerable and unable to react quickly.

The best choice for this fight is to focus only on your recently acquired weapon. Persephone. Even if it’s a shotgun, you can put some distance between yourself and the Aspect, deal a good chunk of damage, and be able to read its movement with longer periods of time.

Although it is not strictly necessary shoot in time, you deal much more damage when you do this. This can be difficult to achieve when you’re fighting a key enemy like this and dodging dozens of projectiles, but it’s also key to your success. Try to focus and keep that in mind The song changes speed from time to time.

To dodge this creature’s attacks, a good jump to either side should do the trick when a few projectiles come your way. The horizontal line is best avoided by jumping, and the enemy’s stun attack can be avoided the same way, but do double jumps and add your dash in the air for more security.

Don’t forget you have two possible repetitions for the whole level. If you both lose, you must Restart the whole phase.

Reward

After defeating the first boss you unlock the next Hell, stygiaand the first hit Streak Boon, the Persistent Blessing of Wrath. A Hit Streak Boon is a special perk that activates when you achieve a specific Hit Streak (a combination of shooting enemies on the beat without taking damage). This special blessing will Slow down your Rage Meter when you hit a six hit streak.

Also the first three torments of the game available if you win this fight. A Torment is a challenge that asks you to defeat enemies under special conditions. When you’re done, you’ll get a sigil, another type of perk you need to equip before jumping into a level.

The Torments are unlocked after completing Voke Killing with Rhythm: I, Gun Trick: Iand Relic Thief: I.
