How to clear Google search history on your iPhone

Although it’s the default search engine in Safari and of course Chrome, the best way to manage your Google history is through the dedicated Google Search app:

  • Open Google search, then tap yours Profile picture/icon top right.
  • Beat search history.
  • Use of Extinguish Drop-down button or your search timeline, select the history you want to remove. This can be anything, a narrow time range, or just specific searches.
  • If you want history to be cleared automatically, go to Search History > Controls then toggle Delete automatically. You can choose how often deletions are performed.

How to clear Siri search history

Siri is usually thought of as just a voice assistant, but it has tendrils across Apple platforms, including dictation capabilities. Luckily, it’s extremely easy to search your iPhone’s recent Siri history:

  • Open in the Settings app Siri & Search.
  • Choose Siri & Dictation History.
  • Beat Clear Siri and Dictation history.

The catch is that you have no control over the timeframe — following these instructions will wipe Apple’s servers of all Siri interactions with your iPhone within the last six months. Anything beyond that is separated from your random identifier and kept anonymous by Apple to improve Siri.

You can use Settings > Privacy > Analytics & Improvements Reject Siri recordings entirely. If you delete something within 24 hours, no one at Apple will review it.

How to clear Safari browsing history

As you would hope with the iPhone’s native browser, clearing Safari history is straightforward.

  • Open the Settings app, scroll down a bit and select safari.
  • Click further down the page Clear history and website data. Don’t worry – saved autofill information for web forms will not be lost.

How to clear Chrome browsing history

Chrome’s option isn’t as easy to find as Safari’s, but it’s not hard either, and it’s fairly flexible.

  • Open Chrome.
  • Navigate to More (…) > History.
  • Tap at the bottom of the next page Clear browser data.
  • Select a time period and then select the types of content you want to delete. Just make sure that Browser history is selected if you don’t want to delete things like cookies or cached files.
  • Tap the red Clear browser data Button.

How to use Safari’s private browsing mode

Like other browsers these days, Safari offers an anonymous mode so you don’t have to worry about clearing history first. To enable Private Browsing:

  • Launch Safari on your iPhone.
  • Tap the tab button in the lower right corner.
  • Tap the button at the bottom center gray arrow down Besides. This can be “[number] Tabs” if you already have content open, or “Home” if you don’t.
  • Choose Privatethen Finished.

You can stop private browsing the same way, just by selecting one of your regular tab groups instead of Private. Remember that when you close a private tab, you lose all information from that session, including any information you entered as AutoFill information.
