Ready to try this style for yourself? amazement. Just keep these four tips in mind.
1. Detangle your hair first. Before you start braiding, it’s important to properly prep and detangle your hair. Using a detangling comb or brush and a moisturizing hair detangling spray or cream will help remove knots without causing unnecessary breakage.
2. Don’t let your hair dry out. Speaking of moisturizing products, do you know what else you need to keep your hair soft and healthy? Leave fabric softener in. Use one after washing and before blow-drying and styling your hair for maximum moisture.
3. Mousse is everything. If you don’t want your braids to go all fuzzy and dull, be sure to apply a few dabs of mousse to your braids before you tie them up before bed. You wake up in the morning with a style that’s as good as new.
4. Invest in one adjustable silk hood. IDK on y’all, but it’s heartbreaking when you wake up in the middle of the night only to find your hood has come off. A silk cap shall protect our hair, Not tell us! Using an adjustable hood that you can firmly attach is a great way to keep everything in place.
