How to Evolve Cosmog into Cosmoem

New steps are available for the Pokemon GO Cosmic Companion questline, and players can now evolve their Cosmog into Cosmoem.

Pokemon GO Players who got their Cosmog by completing the first step of the Cosmic Companion quest line should be happy about it Cosmog can now be evolved. As of October 5th, the in-game Special Research tab has been updated to continue the Cosmic Companion questline – by performing a simple step, players can evolve their Cosmog into Cosmoem.

Those who have completed steps 1-3 in Pokemon GO‘s Cosmog questline should have a new task ready. It requires from the players Catch a single Pokemon. Once players do that, they are rewarded with 25 Cosmog Candy, 3000 XP and 1000 Stardust. The next step requires the player Develop Cosmog further – That’s how it’s done.

How do I evolve Cosmog?

Just follow these steps to learn how to evolve cosmog to cosmoem in Pokemon GO:

• Go to the main screen on the Pokemon GO Application.
• Press the big pokeball at the bottom of the screen.
• Click on “Pokémon” to view the storage.
• Search for Cosmog using the search bar at the top or scroll until you find it.
• Now that Pokemon GO Players have much more Cosmog Candy, it can evolve.
• If players go to the Cosmog screen and find it only says “Turn on”, try closing and restarting the application. There should be a button that says “Evolve” under “Power Up”.
• Use the 25 Cosmog candies to finally evolve Cosmog into Cosmoem.

Can Cosmoem evolve further?

Canonically, Cosmoem can evolve into either Lunala or Solgaleo, but in Pokemon GO, is currently unavailable. As the Cosmic Companion quest line gains more steps next month, there will inevitably be a task involving the advancement of Cosmoem. It is likely that players will need at least 50 Cosmog Candy for the evolution to take place, and evolving Cosmog during the night will give players a Lunala, and evolving during the day will give players Solgaleo.

Until the next update on November 23rd Pokemon GO Players can work to complete the next steps in the quest line:

• Complete 5 field research tasks (Baltoy encounter)
• Power up Pokemon 10 times (Staryu Encounter)
• Develop a Cosmog (1000 Stardust)
• Reward: 25 Cosmog candies, 1000 XP, 750 Stardust

• Complete 10 field research tasks (Elgyem encounter)
• Power up Pokemon 10 times (Staryu Encounter)
• Walk 5 km (meet Girafarig)
• Reward: 25 Cosmog candies, 2000 XP, 750 Stardust

step 7

• Earn 15 hearts with your buddy (Kirlia encounter)
• Hatch an egg
• Catch 20 different types of Pokémon (25 big balls)
• Reward: 10 Poké Balls, 3000 XP, 1500 Stardust
