How To Find (& Catch) Jangmo-o in Pokémon GO

In order to find and catch Jangmo-o in Pokémon GO, Trainers must hatch a specific type of Egg obtained from PokéStops and Team GO Rocket battles.

Jangmo-o is a small dragon-type quadruped Pokemon GO which Trainers may be able to catch during the ongoing Season of Light. This creature is the first form of its evolutionary family and can be identified by the large heart-shaped scale that sits atop its forehead. To evolve this pocket monster, players must feed it 25 candies, after which it will transform into the Dragon and Battle-type Hakamo-o. If given 100 more Pokemon GO Bonbons, Hakamo-o evolves into Kommo-o, a powerful dual element beast that serves as an excellent counter to fairy enemies like Gardevoir, Togekiss, or Granbull.

Tirtouga, Archen, and Rockruff can be hatched as Shinies Pokemon GOwhile Noibat and Jangmo-o only appear in their standard forms.

Catch Jangmo-o in Pokémon GO

Therefore, the only way to catch Jangmo-o is in the current season Pokemon GO is by hatching a 10KM egg. Unfortunately, there is no guaranteed source of 10KM Eggs in-game, but there are several methods players can use to increase their chances of getting one. The first method is to simply rotate any PokéStops found in the AR area. Of course, this is an activity most coaches will already be doing, but those explicitly looking for purple spotted 10k eggs should make an extra effort to spin around every stop they come across.

Another way to get 10km Eggs to hatch Jangmo-o Pokemon GO: Season of Light consists of defeating members or bosses of Team GO Rocket. Grunts appear frequently throughout the AR world, even aggressively pursuing trainers with their hot air balloons. If players manage to collect enough mysterious components, they can craft a rocket radar and use it to confront one of the three leaders of Team GO Rocket. The chances of getting 10km Eggs as a reward for these battles are slim, but it’s an effective way to breed for a Jangmo-o hatchling Pokemon GO.
