However, the process of how to get an internship at a tech company is notoriously difficult. The good news is that most of these companies – especially those at the top of the chain – advertise their internship positions a year in advance.

Be well organized. Any aspiring student knows that in order to achieve your goals, you not only need to be motivated and motivated, but you also need to be organized to get there. This is doubly important if you’re hoping to land an internship at a top tech company.

“Your resume and cover letter need to be robust and unique for every opportunity,” says Agarwal. “It’s time-consuming, but it pays off. I applied for around 70 positions. Keep applying and learn from your experiences. Apply for an internship. Network – if you find contact details in a job advertisement – contact.”
Stay up to date in your industry. The process of how to get an internship in engineering is always evolving, which means staying up to date is doubly important for you. This often means that you may need to devote extra time to staying up to date with your industry. However, if doing an internship is important to you, it will be worth it.
“Keep up to date with market intelligence well beyond what you’ll learn in your course,” Chunzhi Zhou, who successfully landed an internship at HSBC in London, tells efinancialcareers. “For a position in finance, you need to differentiate yourself from the competition, so your knowledge should demonstrate that.
“Different sectors have different recruitment systems, so be aware of the process and practice. Prepare thoroughly for interviews, appear confident and willing to learn as you are expected to constantly improve.”
