How to get clearance and scarlet sand slate in Genshin Impact

Early on in the Golden Sleep world quest, during the Lost in the Sands subquest, you’ll come across your first mechanism with a red ring and the text “You don’t have enough free space” when you try to access it. That’s because You must first find the Scarlet Sand Slate Gadget to get the clearance.

To get the Scarlet Sand Slate and the basic clearance that comes with it, you must Lost in the Sands side quest progression during Golden Slumberand Tirzad will eventually give you the gadget after Jeht brings her new sidekick Benben back to the group.

You should go down the elevator under the Dendroculus in the same room as the first evacuation mechanism to continue this quest and then follow the Seelie until you get to Benben.

However, there is a small mystery in front of the Seelie, and to solve it you need an Electro and a Pyro character. First switch to your Electro character and use one of their Electro abilities to stop the floating Dendro creature at the blue glowing torch.

It now becomes a regular torch, and you can switch to a Pyro character to light all four torches in the room to reveal a chest and the mechanism next to the door leading to the Seelie.

After following the Seelie and talking to the group again, go up the nearby elevator and you’ll soon come across Benben. Head down the elevator to take him back to Trizard and you’ll finally have the Scarlet Sand Slate.

How to increase clearance level in Genshin Impact

Once you follow the steps above to obtain the Scarlet Sandslate during the Golden Sleep quest, you will receive your first base level of clearance and will be able to access the mechanics of Primal Barriers and Plinth of the Secret Rites while exploring Sumeru.

However, to access more of Scarlet Sand Slate’s puzzles and mechanics, you’ll need to increase your clearance level. To fully increase your clearance level, you should complete the “Golden Sleep” and “Double Proof”. Part of the Old Notes and New Friends world quests.

“Old Notes and New Friends” is unlocked after completing “Golden Slumber” and waiting a day in-game, which is why completion is required to get a full clearance level, even if you don’t get clearance for the final sub-quest “Dreams.” under the scorching sand”.
