How to get No Time to Explain in Destiny 2

No Time to Explain is one of the most unique weapons in destiny 2 when it comes to its history and capacity. It’s a version of the Stranger’s Rifle by determinationElsie Bray’s personal gun, which she gifted to the Guardian (as well as Determination’s version of No Time to Explain). And one of his powers is to bend the very laws of time.

No Time to Explain is one of the most cryptic weapons in destiny 2. It existed in multiple versions and in multiple places in the timeline — although parts of it “shouldn’t exist yet,” according to the Ishtar Collective’s entry on the Stranger’s Rifle in determination. This Vex-like ability to transcend time makes No Time to Explain unique in both its lore and capacity.

Its exotic perk, Rewind Again, rewinds bullets into your magazine when you land precision shots or shots against slowed or frozen fighters. Each rewind gives you a stack of Rewind Again, and at 10 stacks the weapon activates its Time Slip perk, which opens a small interdimensional portal that fires bullets from other versions of this weapon that are spaced out over time. In practice, it’s like your weapon has a portable Arc Soul augmented with precision hits.

No Time to Explain’s high stats and built-in auto fire mode are the icing on the cake for an extremely well-rounded and extremely unique weapon. Here’s how to get your own copy of No Time to Explain.

How to get the catalyst from No Time to Explain destiny 2

When you get the gun, Elsie will also give you the Soon quest, which will reward you with the No Time To Explain Catalyst. Here’s what you need to do to complete the quest.

First you have to defeat fighters in BrayTech, which is located in the westernmost part of Cadmus Ridge. After you finish your Vex attack, return to Elsie so you can take the next step in the quest and learn a bit more about the weapon along the way.

After that, you need to defeat Vex in Nexus, Well of Infinitude, and Glassway Strike with No Time To Explain. Nexus and the Infinity Well are east of Asterion Abyss, which is also where the Glassway Strike takes place. Choose your poison when it comes to the best activity to complete this, then return to Elsie when you’re done to get No Time to Explain’s catalyst.

Is No Time to Explain well in destiny 2?

No Time to Explain is an excellent weapon for most activities. Being a Pulse Rifle, it’s a great Exotic option that has consistent access to Anti-Champion mods. It also benefits from the 40 percent buff that gets Exotic primaries The Witch Queen, making it deadly against red bar enemies even in higher content. Its intrinsic properties also help increase damage, and it’s easy to stack Rewind Again (especially on more powerful targets) since it fires in a salvo. Finally, its native full auto functionality makes for a comfortable and accessible weapon, especially in higher level content where enemies take multiple boosts to die.

However, No Time to Explain also prevents you from using other exotic options for the rest of your slots. You can’t use other exotics like Arbalest or Le Monarque (which have their own anti-champion mods), and players who prefer to use their primaries to customize enemies’ shields will either have to give up or run two primaries (which is not the optimal strategy in higher-level content). While this doesn’t affect the viability of No Time To Explain, players should keep this in mind when deciding on their loadout.

No Time To Explain is also an excellent choice for PvP content. You can easily fight from a distance with this pulse rifle and it also deals a lot of damage to enemies, especially with headshots. If you can play to your range advantage (or if you’re just faster than your opponent on the draw), No Time to Explain can easily help you dominate the Crucible.
