How to gain reputation

Unlike previous versions with their respective currencies, Season of Plunder does Reputation available exclusively through Seasonal Challenges, probably with only 2 reputation per week until the end of the main story.

At this point, destiny 2 Players will likely be able to gain more Renown per week until the Star Chart upgrades are complete. A likely scenario might be to have seasonal story updates at 2 reputation per week for 6-8 weeks and then increase that stat. This is the only way to gain reputation in the game and most likely it will not change.

How to get map fragments

Map Fragments are awarded upon completion of the Ketchcrash activity. The only other ways to get this currency are through bonuses either from the Season Pass for Season of Plunder or by leveling up the Star Chart. Card fragments can also stack up to 50 units, which can be seen in the Captain’s Atlas under the Quests tab.

Normal difficulty Ketchcrash grants 10 Map Fragments. destiny 2 Players can increase this number by unlocking upgrades in the paid Season Pass at levels 12, 32, 52, and 92, which grant one, two, three, and five Bonus Map Fragments per run, respectively.

How to get treasure coordinates

The remaining currency are Treasure Coordinates, the stack up to 325 and can be spent along with Map Fragments to insert Treasure Maps in the Captain’s Atlas. Treasure coordinates come from all activities, each awarding different amounts. For example:

  • Playlist activities grant 40 Treasure Coordinates,
  • Ketchcrash Awards 5th
  • The Witch Queen’s story missions award 70.

However, destiny 2 Players can always increase the amount of Treasure Coordinates they receive by using Season of Plunder armor pieces. These grant 5% more currency gains each, up to a maximum of 20%.
