SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY

The sandbox is possibly the most dangerous place in Grounded next to the Flat Stone, with challenging enemy creatures and a harsh environment that makes it difficult to stay for long. Players should prepare well before venturing into this region, as it benefits survivors who are already equipped with the right gear for the journey. The Sandbox may not be as integral a part of the overall story as the Hedge Lab Groundedbut the rarer treasures there certainly have significance of their own.

These treasures found in the sandbox are hard to come by because of the ant lions that populate the area. Tough opponents in Grounded, ant lions, and a lone wolf spider hiding under a plastic toy offer great rewards for particularly brave players if they defeat them. Buried Treasure can also be found in the sandbox if players happen to have the Black Ant Shovel and reveal items like the Sunken Bone or Mint Shard. However, players must be extra cautious while exploring the sandbox as the Sizzle debuff kicks in Grounded weakens any survivor in the area during the day without proper protection.

Reaching the sandbox in Grounded

The easiest way to get to the sandbox is in Grounded are through the zipline is at the top of the picnic table, accessed by tipping over a shovel and book to reach the higher sections. Alternative ways to reach the sandbox are to travel through it Black Anthill or simply build up past the big radius. Before players even think about approaching the picnic table, they should consider the presence of a dangerous flying enemy type that roams this location, the bees out Grounded‘s updates.

Reaching the zipline takes players through almost all sections of the picnic table, the first part of which becomes available after blasting a cracked rock that topples over a shovel and bridges to the bank. After that a few Dungeons and Dragons Books are placed on the opposite side of the table on a cool box, the button of which can be activated to create a new bridge with the sides of the books to the tabletop. The zipline itself can be found damaged near a field station and requires players to retrieve 12 pieces of silk rope for repair before heading straight to the sandbox. Lucky to find spider silk in it Grounded does not force players to do more than defeat a few of the game’s basic arachnid enemies.

Players interested in a more unorthodox route might consider the Black Anthill’s tunnels, which have an exit that leads straight into the sandbox. Definitely the more dangerous path, since ants are obviously in greater numbers here, players fighting the bees on the picnic table might find fighting the ants an easier option. If players don’t want to fight any enemies at all, there’s still the option to conserve resources and instead gradually build over the walls leading into the sandbox. No matter how it happens, get into the sandbox Grounded offers a lot of items for adventurous players to help them survive longer outdoors.
