How to play FIFA 23 early

FIFA 23 is slated for release on September 30th, 2022, so you only have to wait a few days before you can start playing. But if the wait is still too long for you, we have another solution.

EA offers a few different ways to get started playing the popular soccer game ahead of its official release.

You can either subscribe to EA Play (requires a monthly fee) to play up to 10 hours before launch, or pre-order the FIFA 23 Ultimate Edition for unlimited use. We’ll walk you through both options below.

  • Go to the EA Play website and click Join Now
  • Choose your preferred platform
  • Choose an EA Play subscription
  • If necessary, enter payment details
  • Preload FIFA 23 and use your 10-hour quota
  • Alternatively: pre-order FIFA 23 Ultimate Edition

    Go to the EA Play website and click Join Now

    When you are ready to sign up for the EA Play subscription, you can sign up from this link on the official website. Then click Join Now in the red square.

    Choose your preferred platform

    EA then gives you a choice of 4 platforms: the EA Play app, Steam, PlayStation or Xbox. You can only use one platform with your EA Play subscription, so choose carefully.

    Choose an EA Play subscription

    Now it’s time to choose the EA Play subscription you like. At the moment you may be eligible for a 1 month discount offer where you only pay 79p. Alternatively, you can pay £19.99 for a 12 month subscription.

    If necessary, enter payment details

    Depending on whether your chosen platform already has your payment details, you may be asked to enter your credit card details. Follow all the required steps once you’re sure you want to sign in.

    Preload FIFA 23

    Once your EA Play subscription is confirmed, you can now preload FIFA 23. You only have 10 hours of game time before the official launch, so use the time wisely.

    If you don’t want to sign up for EA Play, there’s another option. If you pre-order the FIFA 23 Ultimate Edition, you can start playing right before launch, with no time limit on game duration. How does the FIFA 23 trial work?

If you sign up through EA Play, you can play any FIFA 23 mode for 10 hours. Once the time is up, you can continue your progress once the game launches on September 30, 2022.
