How To Play Knotwords
Powered by the creator of Wordle, Knotwords features fun logic puzzles that test a player’s ability to solve anagrams in a crossword format.

Daily puzzles and set challenges await players, rewarding quick completion and also providing hints for players who need them. This guide will explain how the game works and give general hints for players that might need them.
How to play node words
Created by Zach Gage and Jack Schlesinger, node words sees players faced with several anagrams to solve – the game’s tutorial shows players the following:
- Three boxes and three letters, ‘NUF‘, is terminated by entering ‘FUN‘.
- Four boxes divided in two with the letters ‘AU‘ and ‘DR‘ will ‘WORD‘ as they stand next to each other.
- If boxes overlap, they must form a complete word Both directions – like a crossword puzzle.
- When a word is successfully completed, a sound effect will play.
- If the game doesn’t recognize the word, it will be highlighted and you’ll have to try again.
Beyond the tutorial, however, the list below includes tips and features players should know about.
- You can access hints by clicking on a specific tile and choosing a direction for the “hint”. This gives the definition of the word that must fit in the gap.
- The hint will not disappear until the word has been completed correctly.
- The same letter cannot be used more than once unless the section allows it.
- It’s always easier to complete the smallest sections first and use them to ‘complete’ the end of larger sections.
- When all else fails, guessing random words can come in handy – the game sometimes uses obscure words.
- Latin words can also be used, so don’t be discouraged if the word seems completely made up!
- There is no shame in deleting everything and trying again step by step.
- Hints can be earned by completely solving another puzzle.
- Puzzles can be saved and completed, allowing players to return to them at any time.
In addition to the daily updated “Mini”, “Classic” and “Twisty” puzzles, new puzzle books are also revealed at the beginning of each new month node words players won’t run out of puzzles anytime soon.
