How To Romance Rue In Potion Permit
Potions Permission is one of the best games for those looking for a relaxing gaming experience. This 8-bit adventure takes you to the island of Moonbury, where you’ll make friends, people who brew potions, heal, explore and, who knows, maybe even find love.
This game has six eligible bachelors (three bachelors and three bachelorette girls) that you can befriend to try and win their hearts. In this guide, we’ll walk you through all the steps you need to do to romance Rue, the mayor’s daughter.
Who is Rue?
Rue is the daughter of the mayor of Moonbury and the whole reason you go to the island in the first place. She’s suffering from a mysterious illness, so the mayor contacted you as a last hope to cure her daughter.
This girl doesn’t let her illness get her down and is one of the happiest characters you’ll meet in Potion Permit. Rue wants to be a botanist, so all of her character’s quests revolve around flowers and plants.
How to make friends with Rue
When you first arrive in Moonbury, you’ll find that the villagers are suspicious of you, so talking to anyone is off the table. However, Once you heal Rue for the first time, the people of Moonbury will drop their guardso you can talk to them and fill up their friendship bar.
There are two things you can do to strengthen your friendship with Rue: talk to her or give her Moon carnations.
To speak to Rue, interact with her and select the “Chat” option to start a conversation. Once it’s over, you’ll see the little friendship bar fill up. Remember that You only get Friendship Points by talking to Rue once a dayso if you want to befriend her, you have to talk to her every day.
Moon Cloves are the quickest way to befriend Ruesince gifting fills up a significant chunk of Rue’s friendship bar.
You get mooncloves every time you successfully heal someone in the clinic or complete certain quests. To gift someone a moon carnation, simply interact with a villager and Select the gift option to give them a moon carnation.
If you want to know where Rue is faster, Interact with your dog and select the “Find” command.so it can find them for you.
How to romance Rue
An Romance Rue — or any of the other five dateable characters — They must get their friendship to level 3 and complete all of their character’s quests. Afterward, give her a moon broochso she knows how you feel about her and watch the cutscene that plays afterwards.
Once the cutscene is over, you can date Rue once a day.
You will Only date with one character at a timeso think carefully before you give someone the moon brooch.
All quests from Rue
Each time you level up Rue’s friendship, you can complete a quest for her. There are three quests in total, once for each level.
You won’t be able to further increase Rue’s friendship until you do completed the quest associated with your current friendship level.
Rues Quest #1 – “A Little Plant”
- Requirement: Fill up Rue’s friendship bar
- How to trigger it: Visit the mayor’s house (in the southwest part of the city) every day between Tuesday and Sunday from 07:00 to 15:00.
Once you’ve maxed out Rue’s level 1 friendship, you’ll see a notification from her on the bulletin board asking anyone with a “green thumb” to go to her house between 7am and 3pm.
Go to the mayor’s house (in the southwest part of town) and watch the cutscene to start this quest.
You have to tinker soil fertilizer during this quest to help Rue grow her flowers. To do this, go to your house and brew the potion with your cauldron. Then bring him to Rue to complete the quest and unlock their friendship level 2.

Rues Quest #2 – “Red Seeds”

Red orchid seeds can be found in the glaze iceberg (which you unlock after repairing the cable car northwest of Meadow Range).

Collect three Red Orchid Seeds and go back to Rue’s house to complete the quest.
Rue’s Quest #3 – “A Gift of Flowers”

To craft the vase you need to gather the following materials.

After gathering all the materials, give them to Reyner and he will tell you Pick up the vase next day at Bulk and Build between 8am and 3pm.

Rue’s Quest #4 – “A Promise to Keep”
