How to Show the Battery Percentage on Android

Do you want your Android phone to show the current battery percentage on the top right corner of your screen? If so, turn on an option in your phone’s settings and that will do it. We’ll show you how.

Note: As always with Android, the steps below will vary slightly depending on your phone model. If you have a Pixel and Samsung Android phone, you can follow our dedicated sections.

Let a Samsung phone show the battery percentage

On a Samsung phone running Android 11 or 12, first launch the Settings app. Then navigate to Notifications > Advanced Settings.

Beat "Advanced settings."

If you’re using Android 10 (learn how to check your Android version), go to Settings > Notifications > Status bar.

Then turn on the “Show battery percentage” option.

Your current battery level is now displayed in the top right corner of your screen. To hide it again, turn off the “Show battery percentage” option.

View battery percentage on a Pixel phone

If you’re using a Pixel phone, first launch the Settings app on your phone. In Settings, tap Battery.

Beat "battery" in the Settings main menu.

Then enable the “Battery Percentage” option.

Turn those on "battery percentage" Possibility.

Your phone’s current battery level is now displayed in the top right corner of your screen. Later you can hide the percentage by unchecking the “Battery Percentage” option.

Always let other Android phones show the battery percentage

If you don’t have a Samsung or Pixel device and are having trouble finding the toggle, you can try this guide instead. We’re using a OnePlus Nord phone here, but again, the steps will likely be slightly different for your device.

First, launch Settings on your Android phone. Select “Display” in the settings.

Beat "advertisement" in the settings.

On the Display page, scroll down and select Status Bar. You customize the status bar (the bar at the top of your phone’s screen) to show the battery option.

Choose "status bar."

On the Status Bar page, check Show Battery Percentage.

Tip: To hide the battery percentage in the future, turn off the Show Battery Percentage option.

Enable "Show battery percentage."

And that’s it. Your phone will now show the current battery level in the top right corner of the screen.

And that’s all you have to do to add (and remove) the battery percentage option on your Android phone’s status bar. Very helpful!
