Mechdusa is a new boss in terrariums, introduced in the last update 1.4.4 of the game. Although the name is similar, this boss is different from the normal Medusa enemies that appear when you have a hardmode world in Marble Caves.

Summon Mechdusa

To summon Mechdusa you just have to use Ocram’s Razor. This article is exclusive to Everything Seed and can be crafted on a Mithril or Orchicalcum Anvil with the following materials.

  • 1x Mechanical Skull
  • 1x Mechanical Eye
  • 1x Mechanical Worm

Each of these items must also be crafted, so let’s take a quick look at the crafting tree.

Once you use Ocram’s Razor, Mechdusa will appear. This boss has Skeletron Prime’s head and Destroyer’s body, with the twins serving as eyes.

Since Mechdusa consists of three bosses, each has its own health. TThis means that you have to destroy each piece individually. Luckily, the bosses keep their original mechanic that happens when you fight them normally.

Tips for defeating Mechdusa

Overall, this can be a pretty tough fight, so it’s best to prepare and have it hard armor, powerful weapons and lots of potions. A ranged weapon also allows you to deal damage while staying at a distance.

As mentioned above, Mechdusa’s head is made of Skeletron Prime. The head is attached to the other bosses, so try to defeat Skeletron Prime last. If you defeat this boss before the twins, they will release and move separately from the rest of the body. This will make the fight more difficult as you will have to focus on two separate parts.

Overall, Mechdusa will drop a 36 gold total, that’s quite a lot. In addition to these three treasure bags, Mechdusa also has a 100% chance to drop the waffle iron. This is a unique pan-shaped item that creates waffle projectiles with each swing. The waffle maker had a base damage of 50, making it quite powerful.
