How to switch between devices with Galaxy Buds 2 Pro
As the competition continues to grow, Samsung is among the best when it comes to AirPods Pro competitors for Android phones. The Galaxy Buds 2 Pro continue this trend and offer even more functionality and a significantly more comfortable design compared to their predecessor. One nifty feature is the ability to switch between devices with Galaxy Buds 2 Pro, and we’re going to look at how you can do just that.
Pair your Galaxy Buds 2 Pro
1. Download the galaxy wearable App from the Google Play Store.
2. Make sure your Galaxy Buds 2 Pro have enough charge.
3. Bring your phone and earbuds close together.
4. Open the lid the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro charging case.
5. Tap beginning Button in the Galaxy Wearable app.
7. When your Galaxy Buds 2 Pro appear, select them from the list of available devices.
8. When prompted, tap OK button to confirm pairing.
While Samsung relies on the Galaxy Wearable app for the various settings and controls, there are also plugins that typically need to be downloaded. In some cases, you may be prompted to install the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro plugin during the setup process. However, this usually happens in the background before you are taken to the wearable app’s main screen.
If you want to pair your Galaxy Buds 2 Pro with a second device, you must first put them in pairing mode. To do this, put the earbuds in your ears and touch the touchpad for a few seconds.
Now that your Galaxy Buds 2 Pro are in pairing mode, you can proceed to pair with a secondary device.

2. Open the galaxy wearable apartment
3. On the Galaxy Wearable main screen, tap three horizontal lines on the left.
4. Tap + Add new device.
5. Select the name of your Galaxy Buds 2 Pro from the device list.
After a moment, you may be prompted to install the Buds 2 Pro plugin on your device. If you’re using a non-Samsung phone, you’ll be taken to the Play Store to install. Then simply switch back to the Galaxy Wearable app to complete the pairing process.

How to switch between devices with Galaxy Buds 2 Pro
Since the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro don’t include multipoint functionality, it means you can’t be connected to two devices at the same time. Audio switching is only available when the earbuds are used with two Galaxy devices at the same time. So if you are using multiple non-Samsung devices with the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro, you will need to manually pair them with both devices.
1. If the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro are paired with multiple devices, open the galaxy wearable app on the device you want to switch to.
2. Tap on the three horizontal lines on the left side of the app.
3. Select the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro from the device list.
4. Tap Connect Button.
The Galaxy Buds 2 Pro will switch to the new device and disconnect from the previous device. And if you want to switch back to the other device, you need to open the Bluetooth settings for that device and select your Galaxy Buds 2 Pro.
Great for Galaxy, not so much for everything else
Unlike the new Google Pixel Buds Pro and some of the other best wireless earbuds, the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro still lack true multipoint functionality. Samsung can replicate this to a degree, provided you use its latest earbuds with other Galaxy devices. If you don’t fall into this category, you’ll have to go down the old route of manual pairing if you want to switch from your phone to a laptop or tablet.
