How To Unlock The Golden Ticket In Apex Legends

The Apex Legends Season 14 Battle Pass is only 20 days from expiring, and this season’s weekly in-game story has recently come to an end – both signs that a new season of Apex Legends is upon us. But no season of Apex Legends would be complete without a good teaser for the upcoming season, and this week players got their first hint of what’s to come in season 15 when a mysterious item called the Golden Ticket showed up as a craftable item in the game, Replicators.

While it doesn’t net you an all-encompassing trip to a fancy chocolate factory in the Outlands, Apex’s Golden Ticket is still worth chasing. Rather than opening the gates to Wonka’s sugary wonderland, these Golden Tickets unlock a teaser that appears to be a preview of a new map called Divided Moon. So how do you get hold of one of these coveted pieces? I’m so glad you asked.

Started

From the main Lobby screen, select the button in the lower left part of the screen that allows you to switch the game mode (by default it is called “Trios”). Once the mode selection page is open, take a look at the top right corner where you will see a small image of a golden ticket floating in space. The image says “A New Home” and is accompanied by a countdown timer that appears to indicate that Golden Tickets will become active next Tuesday, October 18th.

Luckily, you don’t have to go all-out on Veruca Salt to get your hands on this shiny reward – all you have to do is craft it at a Replicator. It’s pretty easy in theory, but it took us nearly an hour to pull it off, mostly due to the chaotic nature of your standard Apex Legends match and the amount of crafting materials required (you need 125 to craft the Golden Ticket). . We’ve learned a lot along the way and have put together a short list of tips to help you unlock this preseason teaser with minimal frustration. Follow these pointers and you’ll have the Golden Ticket in your clutches in no time.

tips

Play with a pre-made squad. This cannot be stressed enough. If you don’t have IRL friends to hook up with, try finding some online. If you get stuck with random players, at least let them know what your goal is. (Your goal, for the most part, is to land near a replicator and not die instantly.)

Be a booty goblin. The containers of crafting materials surrounding Replicators aren’t the only way to get them – you’ll also collect five crafting materials for each supply container you open. So don’t be afraid to race your squadmates around every supply container in sight (just remember to share the actual loot with the teammates who need it).

Don’t drop hot. As much as we love Hot Drop, there’s a time and place for it—that’s when we’re not trying to survive long enough to collect 125 crafting materials to craft a Golden Ticket. Sometimes stealth is the best approach, so you might want to land a Replicator near a POI, spend a few minutes ripping open supply containers while you wait for the initial carnage to wear off, then head to the POI with the Replicator. This allows you to loot canisters of crafting materials while looting death boxes, killing two birds with one stone (and not getting killed yourself either).

Craft strategically. Okay, so you finally made it. You’ve got those 125 Crafting Metals and you’ll probably be tempted to fly to the nearest replicator and craft yourself one of those fancy tickets as soon as possible. But jumping before you look is a really, really good way to kill yourself before you can craft the ticket. Using a replicator can give away your location, so make sure you do some serious reconnaissance before moving in to ensure your ticket-hunting adventure doesn’t lead you straight into an ambush. Once the air is clear, approach the replicator and select the Golden Ticket at the top of the crafting menu.

Make the most of your reward. Crafting a golden ticket doesn’t just make the replicator spit one out – it also causes the replicator to spit out a fully equipped golden weapon, which will definitely come in handy for taking out any squads waiting to ambush you.

Play the right legend. It’s always a good choice to play a Legend that you’re comfortable with, but when it comes to that challenge, some Legends offer more gameplay advantages than others. Mirage excels at his ability to fade invisibly, revive/respawn teammates, and distract enemies with his decoys. Bloodhound and Crypto are also excellent options as they can monitor their surroundings and search for and hide enemies.

So what exactly does this golden ticket do? We’re not entirely sure, but the rumors of a new moon-themed map coupled with the countdown timer on the game mode selection page certainly seem to indicate that Golden Ticket holders could be the first to preview close proximity received new map. The players will only find out what surprise the Golden Ticket has in store for them next week.
