How to use WhatsApp on your tablet

The multi-device feature in WhatsApp allows you to use WhatsApp on five devices at the same time, including your primary smartphone. Here’s how you can use WhatsApp on your phone and four linked devices, including tablets, desktops, and WhatsApp Web.

The multi-device feature on tablets is in beta and only works on Android tablets. If you’re not a WhatsApp beta tester or you’re using an iPad, you’ll need to use WhatsApp Web to access your chats. We explain these two methods below.

Use WhatsApp on your tablet with multiple devices

The benefit of multi-device login is that your tablet WhatsApp app works independently of your phone app. That means you can receive and send messages from your tablet even if your phone doesn’t have an internet connection.

This part of the guide requires you to be in the WhatsApp beta program. Also, before proceeding, update the WhatsApp app on your tablet and phone to the latest beta version as the feature works with WhatsApp beta version 2.22.21.6 or later.

  1. Launch the WhatsApp app on your tablet and tap Agree and continue Button. A QR code will appear.

  2. open that Whatsapp app on your phone.
  3. Tap the Three point menu in the upper right corner
  4. Choose Linked Devices Possibility.

  5. Tap the Link a device Button.
  6. The phone asks you to authenticate yourself with your PIN or fingerprint. After you have authenticated, WhatsApp will open a code scanner. Use it to scan the QR code on your tablet.

  7. After you scan, WhatsApp will take a few minutes to download your chats and history to the tablet.

Use WhatsApp on your tablet with WhatsApp Web

If you’re not in the WhatsApp beta program or don’t use iPad, you can use the WhatsApp web app to access your chats on WhatsApp. It works just like WhatsApp Web on a desktop.

  1. Open a browser on your tablet and go to Web.WhatsApp.Com.
  2. open that Whatsapp App on your Android smartphone and tap the Three point menu in the upper right corner.
  3. Select the Linked Devices Possibility.

  4. Tap the Link a device Button.
  5. Scan QR code on WhatsApp web to get your messages.

  6. Open on an iPhone Whatsapp and tap the settings icon in the lower right corner.
  7. Beat Linked Devices.

  8. Beat Link a device.
  9. Scan the QR code to use WhatsApp Web on your tablet.
