That said, maybe you’ve made some posts you’re not proud of or visited some questionable subreddits and want to clean up your account. Don’t worry, in this article we will show you how to view and delete your Reddit history.

Reddit earns its popularity because it promises anonymity. All kinds of people gather in community groups called subreddits. Even some famous people like actors, scientists and writers admit that they enjoy browsing Reddit. But while no one on the platform will know who you are, Reddit still allows the things you search for to linger. In fact, Reddit tracks and collects your activity log, which is stored in your personal account. All of this information about you will remain on their website unless you delete your history or your account.

How to clear Reddit history via browser
Whether you use a Mac or Windows PC, you can clear Reddit history using any internet browser. Reddit gives you the option to clear your history from the profile page. Here is a step-by-step guide on how to do it:
1. Access the official Reddit website
2. Sign in to your profile with your account information
3. Find your profile icon in the upper right corner of the browser and click on it
4. A drop down menu will appear. Navigate to My profile and click on it. You get to an overview page.
5. Find the comment or post you want to delete. Hover over it and click the ellipse icon or the three dots.
6. A command prompt pop-up window will appear and you need to select Extinguish Possibility.
This method will delete comments and posts you have created one by one. Unfortunately, Reddit doesn’t give us a way to clear all history at once. It’s similar to search history, although you do it from the search bar instead of your profile.
Click on the search bar and the dropdown menu with your previous searches will appear. Just click the X next to each search to remove them.
In the past it was possible to use Chrome extensions such as Nuke Reddit Storyand Clear Reddit History to clear all Reddit history at once, but they proved unreliable and buggy and no longer work. Reddit Enhancement Suite is still there, but in maintenance mode.
How to clear history using the Reddit app
Clearing history from mobile app is the same for Android devices and iPhones. It’s also pretty straightforward and easy, and might even be a better option than doing it through the browser.
To delete all Reddit history from the app at once:
1. Find the Reddit app on your smartphone and tap to open it
2. If you are not logged in, enter your account information
3. Tap your profile picture in the top left corner of the screen
4. Choose story from the drop down menu
5. Go back to the top right corner and click on the three dots
6. Tap on the popup delete history
It’s that simple. Understand that by doing this you are clearing the search history from the app. Your comments and posts are still visible.
To delete your Reddit posts in the dit app, you must:
1. Go to your profile
2. Find the post you want to delete
3. Tap on the three dots above it and select the Delete option
To delete comments:
1. Go to your profile and select the Comments tab
2. Find and tap the comment you want to delete
3. This will take you to the original post on Reddit where you will find your comment
4. Tap three dots and select Extinguish possibility
On iPhones, you have an option called Clear Local History which is not available for Android users. This will delete your search history and any Reddit posts you’ve viewed using your account. To do it:
1. Launch the Reddit app on your iPhone
2. Tap your profile icon and then tap settings
3. Find Clear local history and tap on it
4. A pop-up screen will ask you to confirm, tap on it Yes indeed
How to hide posts on Reddit
If you don’t want to delete your post history from Reddit, but still don’t want other people to see it while they’re looking at your profile, you can hide it. Here’s how it works with a web browser:
1. Open Reddit and make sure you’re logged in. Then click on your profile icon and select it profile
2. You are in the Overview tab. Navigate to posts tab
