how can i watch Andor?

Like all Star Wars movies and spinoff series, Andor streams exclusively on Disney+. The first three episodes were released today, and all subsequent episodes will be released every Wednesday. Season 1 is planned for a total of 12 episodes, with the already teased season 2 also planned for 12.

Who is Cassian Andor anyway and what happened anyway? Villain One?

Quickly Villain One Recap: The Empire is building a Death Star that promises to be the greatest weapon ever (a galactic GOAT, if you will). It is meant to permanently end the Rebel Alliance and shatter any hope of a different future. Cassian Andor is a senior intelligence officer for the Rebel Alliance and part of a small team who manage to retrieve the plans to build the Death Star and deliver them to Princess Leia. Boom, Star Wars: Episode IV starts right after.

Cassian is arguably one of the most important new characters in the Star Wars universe, and his role in The Rebellion laid the foundation for the eventual success of Luke and Leia.

What are people saying about the show?

The reviews for the show are incredibly promising, despite the general consensus about its slow pace.

Mashable entertainment reporter Belen Edwards writes that while the show’s early episodes may be sluggish, “Andor is unmistakably a Star Wars story. It places a special emphasis on the politics of the galaxy and the importance of rebellion in the face of growing evil. And yes, Andor has its fair share of new planets, blaster shootouts, and spaceships to scratch those special Star Wars itches.”

Meanwhile, Star Wars expert and Mashable reporter interviewed Chris Taylor Andor‘s leading man Diego Luna, who offered up some sweet pearls of wisdom on the new show.

“It should be different. I mean, it has to deliver that action-adventure that you’ve always come to expect from Star Wars. But at the same time it can be darker. It may be more of a spy thriller. It can be very political, very character driven and dark. We can afford to go there, you know?”

When you’re ready to buckle up in your spaceship and embark on a new galactic adventure, you can subscribe to Disney+ for $7.99 a month or $79.99 a year and enjoy all the Star Wars fun.
