“Bros” can now be viewed from the comfort of the couch. The new film is one of the first romantic studio comedies to focus on a gay relationship. You can buy or rent “Bros” for a starting price of $20 through services like Prime Video.

The film follows Bobby (Billy Eichner), a podcast host, who meets a man named Aaron (Luke Macfarlane) at a nightclub. The couple eventually start dating and try to navigate the unpredictable challenges that come with any new relationship.

Bros is directed by Nicholas Stoller, best known for his hit comedies like Forgetting Sarah Marshall and Neighbors. Stoller co-wrote the screenplay with star Billy Eichner.

How to Watch Bros

Bros is now available to view through digital retailers including Amazon Prime Video, Vudu, Apple TV and YouTube. The film is $25 to buy or $20 to rent.

If you buy Bros, you can stream the movie anytime without any restrictions. If you rent the movie, you have 30 days to watch it and then 48 hours to finish it once you hit play.

Viewers who don’t mind waiting a bit should hold off, however. The current rental price is subject to a surcharge as the film is still in cinemas. The rental price will probably drop to $6 in about a month.

Digital retailer apps are available on most major brand media players, smart TVs, mobile devices and game consoles. Check each store’s website to make sure their app is available on the device of your choice.

When will Bros be available on Peacock?

Bros is a Universal Studios release, so it’s expected to come to the Peacock streaming service in the coming months. An exact Peacock release date has not been announced, but new Universal films can appear on Peacock as early as 45 days after their theatrical release date.

If “Bros” follows this release strategy, it could hit Peacock as early as November 14th. Once it’s available on the streamer, only Premium and Premium Plus members can watch. Premium costs $5 per month and includes ads, while Premium Plus costs $10 per month and has no ads.

Is Bros worth watching?

“Bros” was met with critical acclaim when it hit theaters on September 30th. The film has a Rotten Tomatoes rating of 88% Certified Fresh based on 172 reviews. Critics hailed the film for its funny screenplay, thoughtful observations and important contribution to expanding gay representation in mainstream Hollywood productions.

Though the film didn’t garner a large audience when it premiered on September 30, the film’s digital debut gives more viewers a chance to check out the well-reviewed flick.
