How to watch Hellraiser online in the US
Hellraiser debuts exclusively on Hulu as part of the “huluween (opens in new tab)” Party on Friday 7 October 2022. Hulu’s scary celebrations will continue throughout the month of October, with the platform showcasing a range of horror-themed content, including brand new ones American Horror Story: NYCBritish horror film matriarchand menacing meme movie Grimcutty.
If Hulu follows its regular publishing pattern, horror fans can look forward to this reimagining of the 1987 cult classic and Clive Barker’s original novel midnight pt and 3 p.m. ET.
How to watch Hellraiser online in Australia
Hellraiser is on its way to Australia via Paramount+ a few weeks after its US premiere Wednesday 26 October 2022. On the way to the seasonal “top screams (opens in new tab)” portal, Hellraiser will be available for Halloween screenings along with other new releases like the Uncanny Better halfand kid friendly Monster High: The Movie.
There is currently no confirmed release time for Hellraiser in Australia. While new content generally premieres at the same time as in the US (usually meaning 7 p.m. AET), Hellraiser‘s belated release could see the film already available midnight AET.
How to watch Hellraiser online in Canada and the UK
There is no official word on when Hellraiser will be available to stream in the UK and Canada. If it does, however, it will likely find a home in the regular pipeline of Hulu content outside of the US, Disney+. As the streaming giant is currently celebrating its third annual “hello stream (opens in new tab)Celebration, it’s a safe bet Disney will bring Hellraiser to the platform before the month ends.
What is the plot of Hellraiser?
Both The heart of hell novel and its 1987 film adaptation Hellraiser revolve around a mysterious puzzle box and the people who search for it or stumble upon it. The box, known as the Lament Configuration, is the key to opening a schism to the infernal realm of the cenobites – extradimensional beings who torture and torment their victims under the false promise of granting their every wish.
While Hellraiser Franchise spawned 10 films, 21 stories, and dozens of comics, the series’ popularity waned as its lore grew more convoluted. Hulu Hellraiser is a reimagining of the franchise, beginning with a new perspective on Clive Barker’s original vision.
In the upcoming reboot, Riley, a young woman struggling with addiction, comes into possession of the enigmatic Lament Configuration. Suspecting the box is connected to her brother’s disappearance, Riley attempts to unravel its mysteries, unaware of its purpose and ability to summon the supernatural cenobites.
Who stars in Hellraiser?
So far no film in the Hellraiser The franchise seemed complete without the cast of Doug Bradley as the extradimensional, dubbed “Pinhead” by fans. Although his appearance in the original only lasted a few minutes Hellraiser The film’s portrayal of the cenobite leader stole the show, catapulting the character into a staple of the horror genre. However, since 2018, fans have had to adjust to a franchise without Bradley Hellraiser: Judgmentwhen Paul T. Taylor took on the mantle of the fearsome Priest of Hell.
This time, neither Bradley nor Taylor will reprise their role as “Pinhead,” with the character being portrayed by instead sense8 Actress Jamie Clayton. While some have criticized the casting, seeing it as an unnecessary gender swap, the decision was apparently made (at least in part) so as not to get lost in the shadow of Bradley’s iconic portrayal. Clayton’s casting allows for a whole new approach to the character, faithful to the source material but with plenty of room to make the role her own.
Other cast members include Odessa A’zion (family, Big Army), Brandon Flynn (13 reasons why), Adam Faison (Everything will be fine), and Outer Banks‘ Drew Starkey.

Adam Faison as Colin: A voice of reason and a close friend of Riley’s after interacting with the Lament Configuration unleashes a supernatural threat.
Drawn Starkey as Trevor: a seedy art dealer and friend of Riley’s who first exposes her to the old puzzle box.
Brandon Flynn as Matt: the brother and moral compass of Riley, whose disappearance sets in motion a chain of events leading to the arrival of the cenobite.
