What you should know
The Sacramento Kings may be back at home on Saturday, but pundits are predicting a three-point loss. They will take on the Los Angeles Clippers at 10pm ET at the Golden 1 Center after taking a few days off. After losing a game they were expected to win, the Kings now face the more daunting task of proving themselves against the odds.
Sacramento came up short against the Portland Trail Blazers on Wednesday, losing 115-108. Sacramento’s loss came despite good play from De’Aaron Fox, who shot 5-on-9 from beyond the arc and finished with 33 points, seven dimes and seven rebounds.
Meanwhile, Los Angeles and the Los Angeles Lakers were tied 56-56 at halftime on Thursday, but the Clippers rallied to a 103-97 win in the second half. Los Angeles’ Ivica Zubac filled the stats list with a double-double on 17 boards and 14 points in addition to five blocks.
Los Angeles’ win lifted them to 1-0, while Sacramento’s loss dropped them to 0-1. We’ll see if Los Angeles can repeat their recent success or if Sacramento recovers and reverses its fortunes.
