The 2022 CJ Cup in South Carolina begins Thursday with round one at Congaree Golf Club. Here’s what you need to know to watch Round 1 on TV or online.
Round 1 preview
One PGA Tour star in particular has something to offer golf fans at the start of the new season: Rickie Fowler. Fowler has been struggling with his last win at the 2019 Worlds Phoenix Open for years, but so far this season he has regularly threatened to end his long winless drought.
Fowler finished T6 at the Fortinet Championship and then nearly clinched a win at last week’s Zozo Championship, eventually settling for a T2 finish. Now Fowler will continue his comeback quest at the CJ Cup, where he had his best finish last season, a T3.
But Fowler will be up against the strongest field to date this year, which includes the player who took home last year’s CJ Cup trophy and FedEx Cup title: world No. 2 Rory McIlroy .
Fowler and McIlroy play the first round alongside rising star Tom Kim. They tee off at 10:20 am ET on Thursday.
You can watch the first round televised Thursday afternoon from 3:00 p.m. on Golf Channel or stream the action on Golfchannel.com and NBCSports.com.
