The FedEx Cup Playoffs resume this week with the 2022 BMW Championship beginning Thursday with the opening round at the Wilmington Country Club. Here’s what you need to know to watch Round 1 on TV or online.

Preview of BMW Round 1

At last year’s BMW Championship, Patrick Cantlay overtook Bryson DeChambeau in a thrilling playoff and celebrated his third win of the season. The win put Cantlay in first place in the FedEx Cup standings, which he rode to capture the 2021 FedEx Cup title and later the Player of the Year award.

But this year the story is a little different. Although Cantlay is firmly at No. 7, he no longer holds the top spot that was surpassed by Will Zatoris last week. Also, if Cantlay is to defend his title he will need to do so at a new course, Wilmington Country Club, which takes over duties from last year’s BMW venue Caves Valley.

Cantlay also has to contend with some resurgent Tour pros, including world No. 1 Scottie Scheffler and betting favorite Rory McIlroy.

It all begins Thursday when Cantlay will tee off alongside Scheffler for his opening round at 2:40pm ET. You can stream the first round via PGA Tour Live on ESPN+ or watch the broadcast on Golf Channel.
