“I Was Number Two in the State of California”: Travis Kelce’s Ex-Girlfriend Kayla Nicole Clears the Air on Her Sporting Background in a Big Revelation

Everyone knows what an athlete Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce is, as evidenced by his two Super Bowl trophies. But what about someone he’s reportedly been in and out with for nearly five years? Although it’s not compulsory for an athlete to date another athlete or anyone associated with the sport, Kelce’s ex-girlfriend, Kayla Nicole, has come under scrutiny from fans for her athletic background. On her Instagram, the reporter released the air about her sporting experiences in a big revelation.

Kelce and Kayla dated for half a decade before calling it quits in 2022. And it turns out she’s an athlete too, and a good one at that.

Kayla Nicole’s athletic career

On-air reporter Kayla Nicole is also an athlete. She revealed it on social media and also shared information about the sport she played. Nicole brought up the issue after reportedly receiving many messages asking her the same question.

“Sorry. The number of DMs I get are asking me, ‘What sport did I play, I’m not an athlete.’ You know, y’all are confused. First of all, I’m clearly an athlete. See the workouts, I do? Do you? Thank you,” Said Nicole in one of her Instagram stories.

She then revealed the sport she played and how good she was at it. Nicole also said that she gave up competitive sports during high school.

“Also, if you’re new here, I’ve been a competitive gymnast for a very long time. I started competing, well I started gymnastics when I was five years old. I quit my junior year of high school, I was once number two in the state of California. Nicole added.

Nicole is a sportswriter who has made a name for herself reporting in the NBA and NFL. And Travis Kelce on the other hand needs no introduction for what he does on the football field.

Relationship with Travis Kelce

Kayla Nicole reportedly met Travis Kelce through social media. And then their relationship, over and over again, began. The couple split and reconciled several times over the course of five years.

Fans speculated every time the couple broke up. From cheating to being forced to pay half the bills, Kelce has faced many allegations. But he denied every single one of them.

“We were in a relationship for five years. A hundred dollars here and a hundred dollars there was not even thought of. You know what I mean? which is ridiculous” he said on the podcast The Pivot.

The couple split again in 2022 and are now both single. Will the sports couple get closer again?
