Chris Jones has a chance to become a two-time Super Bowl champion when the Chiefs take on the Eagles in Super Bowl 57.
Jones was selected by the Chiefs in the second round of the 2016 NFL Draft. He had 15.5 sacks (44 tackles) in 17 regular season games in 2022 and added two more sacks in the playoffs.
The 28-year-old is a true anchor on the defensive end and has been compared to some of the best NFL stars of the past. He has also been compared to an MMA great with the same last name.

The short answer is no, Chris Jones is not related to MMA fighter Jon Jones.
However, Jon Jones has two brothers who have either played in the NFL or are in the NFL: Arthur and Chandler Jones.

Who is Jon Jones?
Jon Jones, a standout wrestler, made his pro debut in 2008 and joined the UFC that year. After losing to Matt Hamill via DQ in 2009, Jones is unbeaten in 17 fights.
Jones has beaten a who’s who of UFC light heavyweight contenders. He beat Mauricio “Shogun” Rua in 2011 to become the youngest champion in UFC history (light heavyweight). Other fighters he has beaten are Quinton Jackson, Lyoto Machida, Vitor Belfort, Chael Sonnen and Alexander Gustafsson. Jones last fought in 2020, beating Dominick Reyes by a controversial unanimous decision score.
Jones recently trained to compete in the heavyweight division. His next fight is on March 4th at UFC 285. He faces Ciryl Gane for the vacant UFC Heavyweight Title.

Arthur Jones Bio, Statistics
Arthur Jones was selected by the Ravens in the fifth round of the 2010 NFL Draft. In 2011, Jones helped Baltimore beat San Francisco in the Super Bowl. He had a fiddly recovery at play.
Jones signed a five-year contract with the Colts in 2014 but was released by the team in 2017. In 2016, he was suspended for four games for violating the league’s performance-enhancing drug policy. After signing with Washington in 2017, Jones only appeared in one game due to injury and retired after that season.
From 2010 to 2017, Jones appeared in 64 games and had 10 sacks, 173 tackles and two forced fumbles.

Chandler Jones Bio, Statistics
After a collegiate career in Syracuse, Chandler Jones was drafted in the first round by the Patriots in 2012. Two years later, Jones was part of the Patriots team that defeated the Seahawks in the Super Bowl.
In 2016, Jones was traded to the Cardinals and received the non-exclusive franchise tag in 2017. That year he set a new franchise record with 17.0 sacks. In 2022, Jones signed a three-year contract with the Raiders. He played in 15 games before being put on injured reserve with an elbow problem.
A four-time Pro Bowl selector and two-time All-Pro, Jones has 511 total tackles, including 112 sacks, in 154 regular-season games.
