Karnatak Sports Association put in another solid performance on Wednesday, defeating GM Sports Club by a 4-0 margin in an Elite Div (Private) match of Mumbai Football Association (MFA) League at Neville D*Souza Ground, Bandra.
After initial resistance from the GM Sports Club defence, Karnatak SA finally broke the deadlock when Roger Anthony struck in the 34th minute and they went into the break with a narrow 1-0 lead. After the break, Karnatak SA scored three goals from Aashish Lalge, Pragnesh Solanki and Pratham Ghatnur and rushed towards a comfortable win.
Earlier, Bombay Muslims SC and Rudra FC shared the spoils in an evenly contested tie, drawing 1-1. Bombay Muslims took the lead in the 50th minute through Mohammed Atif Ansari. It didn’t take Rudra FC long to restore the equalizer as Siddharth Kamble equalised.
