Kate Middleton’s personal latest charity engagement revealed
At Kate Middleton’s latest charity event, the Duchess will work with Roger Federer to raise money for two of the charities she works as a patron for.
It has just been announced that the Duchess of Cambridge and the Laver Cup have joined forces for a non-profit organization to support two important charities. The Laver Cup was co-founded by Roger Federer and at the event the Duchess and Roger will work together for a good cause.
The main charity event is the Laver Cup Open Practice Day and takes place on Thursday 22nd September at The O2 in London. At this event, tennis fans can watch Roger Federer and other tennis players from Team Europe and Team World in their final practice session on the court.
Roger Federer said on Twitter that he was delighted to be collaborating with Catherine for this event. “I’m delighted to announce that this year the Laver Cup is partnering with the Duchess of Cambridge to raise funds for two incredible charities – @actionforchildrenuk and the @LTA Tennis Foundation. Thank you for your support and I look forward to seeing you in London!” said Roger.

Tickets go on sale Monday 22nd August in support of Action for Children and the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA), of which the LTA Tennis Foundation is a charitable arm.
Duchess Catherine is patron of these two charities that are dear to her heart. Tennis has been one of Kate Middleton’s hobbies since she was a child, and as a member of the royal family, the Duchess became known as a child princess to fans who were quick to recognize her connection to the younger generation.
Prior to this event, the Laver Cup is hosting a day of tennis in East London for children and young adults who are part of the LTA Serves programme. This will help children from different backgrounds to get involved in tennis.
Speaking of this project, a Laver Cup spokesperson said: “Laver Cup is committed to supporting community initiatives that impact young people in every city visited and the collaboration with Action for Children and the LTA was established at the recommendation of The Duchess initiated. Her Royal Highness is passionate about supporting sport at grassroots level and encourages young people from all backgrounds to get involved in the sport.”
