The nine finalists sat under the watchful eye of the excellent 888poker twitch stream. In the first ten minutes, players got a feel for how the other was playing before a big hand resulted in the first elimination.

“CRBDOUGLAS” Min-raise with ace-jack of clubs and then called “arod1214” 3-bet all in for 12 big blinds from a couple of seats across. CRBDOUGLAS had to hit the board because arod1214 was all in with pocket queens. They hit with an ace as a door card. Game over for arod1214.

“pvss10” was the chip leader when the eight-handed game started, but they were still the next player out the door. They lost a few pots and saw their stack shrink to just over 18.5 big blinds after they called the big blind. Those chips are in the middle after a 3-bet shove with Ace-King over a min-raise of “equalize1” on average. It was ace-king against pocket jacks, and those jacks flopped a set before flipping a full house to reduce the player count by one.

The last seven became six with the elimination of “Baltic Mouse” from Lithuania. Sixth place went to “Fever105,” which raked in $5,955 in total, thanks in part to a $4,014 bounty payment. Fever105 open-shoved for 3.5 big blinds with pocket threes and another short stack “Santa.Mürte” called with ace-queen. An ace on the flop wasn’t what Fever105 wanted to see and their participation in the event ended.

This hand strengthened Santa.Muerte’s stack, but they didn’t get any lower than fifth place. They found themselves with a pair of nines in the hole at 9.5 big blinds and decided to go all in via a mini-raise from CRBDOUGLAS they made with ace-queen. CRBDOUGLAS bet a queen on the flop and an ace on the turn, leaving only four players in contention for the title.

Third place went to “ashleywardy” of the United Kingdom. The Brit posted his last 3.7 big blinds from the button with ace-six of hearts. “apithanos8” called in the small blind with ace-two, only for CRBDOUGLAS to move all in with ace-queen for 24 big blinds. apithanos08 ducked out of the way and ashleywardy fell on the stretch thanks to a queen on the turn.

The heads-up came to a halt when CRBDOUGLAS busted after a losing coin flip. CRBDOUGLAS min-raised on the button with ace-spade-king, equalize1 called in the small blind with ace-five of clubs, only for apithanos08 to face six big blinds with pocket queens. CRBDOUGLAS moved all in for a total of 17.4 big blinds and apithanos08 called equalize1 once and ducked out of the way. The ladies held and CRBDOUGLAS was eliminated in third place.

apithanos08 started heads-up with a big blind advantage of 52.6 to 27.7. equalize1 clawed back before sliding backwards, then came back and claimed the chip lead. The final hand essentially played itself with the stack sizes in play. equalize1 min-raised with King-Queen of Diamonds, apithanos08 moved all in with pocket nines for 22 big blinds and was called. Three diamonds on the first three community cards resulted in apithanos08 being dead, dropping them to second place and equalize1 becoming the final $100,000 Mystery Bounty Main Event champion.
