“We played our matches pretty well for the most part,” said Marsch, “I have the feeling that we were in the match and we know how competitive the games are. Arsenal: Winning is becoming a contagious virus for Arsenal at the moment, who have responded to their defeat at Manchester United last month by notching up six straight wins. Thursday’s win on the Bodo/Glimt artificial pitch might even have been welcome for Mikel Arteta as it came after such an overwhelming performance.
Gabriel Jesus was left in London for this game while veteran players like Thomas Partey and Gabriel took a break. Even Granit Xhaka and Gabriel Martinelli, the ironmen of the season so far, were called up late from the bench and Arsenal should bring a relatively rested side to Yorkshire.
