Erik ten Hag’s team fell 2-0 down after an early goal from Wilfried Gnonto and an own goal from Raphael Varane. Marcus Rashford then continued his superb form in front of goal and the returning Jadon Sancho saved a point.
The home fans are sure to create a cauldron-like atmosphere for their side, who are left without a coach following the sacking of Jesse Marsch earlier in the week. Former England futsal head coach Michael Skubala remains in post on an interim basis.
A win would propel United into second place in the Premier League table – at least until champions Manchester City meet Aston Villa in Sunday’s later kick-off.
