The Detroit Lions take on the Seattle Seahawks at home on Sunday at 1:00 p.m. ET. Defensive coordinators will certainly be putting in extra hours ahead of this contest, as these teams’ offensive yards totaled 836 last week.
Detroit may have drawn first blood against the Minnesota Vikings last Sunday, but it was Minnesota who had the last laugh. The Lions are the favorites here with an expected 4.5 point lead. They might be worth taking a risk against the spread as they are currently on a streak of ATS wins in three games.
The defeats pushed both teams to an identical 1-2. A few defensive numbers to keep in mind before kickoff: Detroit stumbles into the matchup with the most touchdowns allowed in the NFL after retiring in season 12. The Seahawks have seen some struggles of their own, being the third-worst rushing yards per game averaging 157 in the league. It’s possible that one of those Achilles heels will trip the losing team.
