Liverpool are being linked with another big money move in the transfer market as Jurgen Klopp seeks to make up for the omission of top target Jude Bellingham

Manuel Ugarte’s agent has apparently confirmed Liverpool’s interest in the Uruguayan midfielder.
Liverpool have been following the defensive midfielder since he joined Sporting Lisbon from Portuguese club-mates FC Famalicão in 2021.
And while no formal talks have yet taken place over the midfielder, who has a £52million release clause, the Anfield club are understood to have Ugarte on a list of possible defensive midfield targets, which include the French star from Real Madrid, Aurelien Tchouameni, and Ryan Gravenberch from Bayern Munich.
Chijane, who works with super agent Jorge Mendes, who has Liverpool stars Darwin Nunez, Diogo Jota and Fabinho on his squad, confirmed this interest but stressed they were not the only club asking.
“Liverpool? There’s a lot of talk, but it’s not the only club, there are others. There’s a lot of talk but I’m still not sure about the club (he will sign with him). There are many options on the table. I believe the situation will be resolved in 15 days.”

Allardyce talks about “garbage,” claims Klopp
Given he’s previously described him as a ‘soft German’ and ‘the problem’ at Anfield, it’s no wonder Sam Allardyce hasn’t been full of praise for Jurgen Klopp on his return to management.
The German is one of several managers who have been vocal in criticizing Newcastle United this season for perceived time-wasting tactics. ‘Big Sam’ is set to take on his former club at Elland Road on Saturday to help Leeds survive in the Premier League and was asked about the idea in the pre-game press conference.
“Who doesn’t? Who complained?” he replied. When he was given the name of the Liverpool manager: ‘He’s wasting his time’, the reply was immediate.
At least the mockery wasn’t just limited to Klopp, with one journalist pointing out that Man United manager Erik ten Hag had made similar complaints: “He’s a waste of time, they waste all their time in the last five minutes when they’re playing with 2 :1 win. “Don’t be stupid, that’s nonsense!” scoffed the 68-year-old.
No one will be surprised Allardyce hasn’t come back to make friends.
