Liverpool send scouts to assess Sporting Lisbon defender Goncalo Inacio?
Liverpool are reportedly sending scouts to assess the development of Sporting Lisbon defender Goncalo Inacio.
Liverpool reportedly identified Sporty Lisbon defender Goncalo Inácio as a potential future transfer target.
Earlier this week, the Merseyside giants returned to winning ways as they recorded a 2-0 win over Everton in the derby at Anfield.
But despite the triumph on the move Jürgen KloppAfter the side returned to nine points clear of fourth in the Premier League table with a game in hand, it is widely accepted that the German will look to oversee changes to his squad in the summer.
If reports are to be believed, central midfield is the priority as a number of players are expected to leave the club on free transfers at the end of their contracts.
Nevertheless, it is becoming apparent that Liverpool may need at least one new central defender due to the inconsistencies Joe Gomez And Joel Matipas well as the frequent injury problems of Ibrahima Konat.

Much may depend on the level of funding Klopp is made available to refresh his squad, with another right-back possibly also on the agenda.
That means according to Correio da Manhaan offer for Inacio is already being considered.
Before the start of this season, the Portugal Under-21 international is said to have been admired by at least two Premier League clubs Manchester United And Wolverhampton Wanderers.
However, a move never materialized as the 21-year-old continues to represent Sporting after being promoted to the club’s academy.

Inacio has made 26 starts and made two appearances this season, most recently at the weekend when Sporting lost 2-1 to rivals Porto.
Despite the loss, the scouts present at the game were said to have been impressed by the performance of Inacio, who played on the right side of a back three.
It’s a formation Klopp has rarely used at Liverpool and Inacio would likely have to adjust to playing in a back four should he ever join the club.
Although the defender is said to have a £40million release clause, whether an interested club has to pay that fee may depend on Sporting’s ability to retain a Champions League spot for 2023-24.
However, the Primeira Liga giants have recently reaped significant revenue from sales Matheus Nunes And Pedro Porro after joining Wolverhampton Wanderers and Tottenham Hotspur respectively.
