Williams is expected to leave Liverpool on loan

Rhys Williams is expected to leave Liverpool again this summer on loan.

ECHO understand several clubs are interested in the 22-year-old but Aberdeen are currently in the running for his signing.

Liverpool have close ties with the Scottish Premiership side and were impressed by the ease with which they were dealt with last summer when it came to Calvin Ramsay’s transfer to Anfield. Meanwhile, both clubs were pleased with the success of Leighton Clarkson’s loan move to the Dons last season.

Clarkson has since made a permanent move to Aberdeen and Williams could now follow in his former team-mate’s footsteps to Pittodrie.

Tottenham push for Maddison deal

Tottenham Hotspur are looking to negotiate a deal with Leicester City for James Maddison this week, the Telegraph claims.

John Percy’s report said Maddison is a priority target for new Spurs head coach Ange Postecoglou and Tottenham are now pushing hard to agree a transfer fee with relegated Leicester in the next few days.

The same article also claims that Leicester are asking up to £60m for the attacking midfielder and that Newcastle United are also eyeing the 26-year-old. However, the Magpies have since cooled their interest as they prepare to finalize the signing of Sandro Tonali from AC Milan.

Fofana Transfer Claim

Arsenal line up Monaco star Youssouf Fofana as an alternative to Declan Rice after West Ham rejected three offers for the England international.

That’s according to French publication L’Equipe, who report that the Gunners are battling Newcastle United and West Ham United for the midfielder. The Hammers are reportedly asking for a £100m transfer fee for Rice.

The 24-year-old has had a superb season at the French club and those impressive performances have sparked speculation linking him to a multitude of clubs across Europe.

And a May Daily Mail report claimed that one of the sides interested in his signature was Liverpool.

Guler Clause

Fenerbahce prodigy Arda Guler has reportedly had a clause allowing him to leave for less than £15million after clocking up 1500 first-team minutes.

That’s according to the Mail, which reports that Liverpool, as well as Newcastle United and Manchester City, are well aware of his talent, while Ajax and Real Madrid have also been linked.

The ‘Turkish Messi’ has played 51 games in the last two seasons, scoring nine goals and providing 12 assists in all competitions.

Napoli striker Victor Osimhen continues to be linked with Liverpool.

A report emerged on Saturday afternoon that the Reds were one of three Premier League clubs in talks with the 24-year-old. Gazzetta Dello Sport issued an update on the situation, adding: ‘Important offers could be made in the coming days.’

The Italian publication add that the player is “very much appreciated” by Jurgen Klopp, although Liverpool want to examine “all aspects” of a possible deal before making any further interest in him.

Napoli are reportedly asking €180m (£153.9m) for their star striker.

Liverpool “offered” Ndicka

Liverpool reportedly turned down the chance to sign Evan Ndicka before the centre-back’s recent move to AS Roma.

The Frenchman, who previously played for Eintracht Frankfurt, became a free agent this summer and ended up in Serie A.

Liverpool were among the clubs linked with Ndicka prior to the move, although ECHO clarified in March that the 23-year-old was not a player being stalked.

Speaking of the defender on the Here We Go podcast, Fabrizio Romano said the Reds were “offered” the player but decided “against” a deal.
