Liverpool’s Calvin Ramsay suffers ‘long-term’ injury in latest blow for ex-Aberdeen star
Former Aberdeen star Calvin Ramsay has reportedly picked up a long-term injury in the latest setback in the youngster’s career at Liverpool.
The Aberdonian, who was recently left out of the Reds’ Champions League squad for the Round of 16 tie against Real Madrid, is likely to miss the rest of the season, which has largely been spent with the Under-23s.
The Telegraph reports that Ramsay is the latest addition to Liverpool’s lengthy injury list ahead of Monday night’s Merseyside derby.

Ramsay has made just two senior appearances so far this season, playing 90 minutes in the Carabao Cup win over Derby County and appearing as a substitute in the Champions League win over Napoli.
Both appearances came in November, with the 19-year-old yet to claim a regular place in the squad, having only been on the bench once in Liverpool’s Premier League campaign.

Ramsay had expressed his frustrations at his start in life on Merseyside in December after being brought to the club by Jurgen Klopp as an understudy to right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold.
A stress fracture in his back, discovered during medical checks, marred his start in life at Anfield following his £4million move from Pittodrie last summer.
