A number of players have been ruled out of the competition while Casemiro sits out his second game with a three-game suspension. Anthony Martial will miss his 22nd game of the season while Antony is also sidelined with a leg problem.
Both are also in doubt for Thursday’s trip to the Nou Camp for the first leg of their Europa League knockout clash against Barcelona. Christian Eriksen and Donny van de Beek remain sidelined with long-term injuries.
Meanwhile, Erik ten Hag is hoping Aaron Wan-Bissaka will be available for the duel after missing Wednesday’s meeting due to illness. Marcel Sabitzer could get his second start since arriving in January, while Jadon Sancho could be named in United’s starting line-up for the first time since October.
Elsewhere, it has been rumored that United are working to make Sabitzer’s loan deal from Bayern Munich permanent, while the club are reportedly working on a summer offer for Inter Milan right-back Denzel Dumfries.

Ten Hag challenges Rashford to improve his goal tally
United boss Erik ten Hag has challenged Marcus Rashford to score 30 or 35 goals this season.
The England ace has been in brilliant form for the Reds this season, recording 20 goals and eight assists in 33 games. He became the first United player since Wayne Rooney to score in six straight league games at Old Trafford when he conceded against Leeds in midweek.
Ten Hag has expressed his desire for Rashford to continue increasing that number in 2022/23, telling club media:
“[There is] many more to come [from Marcus] and we have months to play, important months. We need to get in a position where we can win trophies, so far where we are Marcus has been a big influence this season. I remember at the beginning of the season I asked if he could score 20 goals, now he has this marker, he scored 20 goals but now it’s about getting more. He’ll have to challenge himself to get to 30 or 35, but the biggest focus has to be on the next goal, and if you focus on that, you’ll see where you end up. But the most important thing is that we win as a team.”

There was a moment in the second period when Sancho received the ball from Lisandro Martinez just past the halfway line. It took the Reds winger just a few seconds to get on the pitch and punch Ayling in the process.
