Manningcast schedule 2022: How to watch Peyton, Eli Manning on ESPN ‘Monday Night Football’
After a hugely successful debut in 2021, the Manningcast returns for its second season in 2022.
It will be a 10-game season for Peyton and Eli Manning for the second straight year. Last year there were 38 guests including Charles Barkley, Rob Gronkowski, Pat McAfee, Bill Parcells and David Letterman. Guests are usually announced shortly before the game.
The Manningcast has established itself as an entertaining alternative to the monotony of a regular NFL show. However, Monday Night Football is getting a makeover in its regular booth this year, with Joe Buck and Troy Aikman taking on the roles of Louis Riddick, Steve Levy and Brian Griese. The former Fox A-Team will bring a different flavor.
However, Peyton and Eli have a very different take on their show. Even their attitude is more relaxed when they’re on screen, which has contributed to their popularity.

When is the next Manning show?
Manning’s next broadcast will be the first Monday Night Football game of the year.
Russell Wilson’s return to Seattle as the Denver Bronco in Week 1 is announced by Manning & Manning as the Broncos look to start this season on the right foot. The Seahawks, meanwhile, want to see what they have as quarterback in Geno Smith.
There will then be a week break as the Disney family carries two games in week 2. It will return for Week 3 with an NFC East showdown between the Cowboys and Giants.

Why Peyton and Eli Manning are on Monday Night Football
ESPN announced that Peyton and Eli Manning would be joining Monday Night Football on July 19, 2021. They weren’t tapped to join the actual booth, instead they signed up for Monday Night Football with Peyton and Eli.
“Offering multiple options for watching Monday night football for the next three seasons continues our innovation efforts and provides additional value for our fans,” ESPN and sports content chairman Jimmy Pitaro said in a press release last year. “Peyton and Eli will bring a different approach by delving into conversations about broader, big topics while also refining the game, much like fans do when watching with family and friends.”
The agreement was a big deal for ESPN. Peyton Manning had declined to host Monday Night Football for several years due to travel and not wanting to criticize Eli during his playing career. However, the elder Manning has produced several shows on ESPN, including Peyton’s Places and Detail. Therefore, a step into the broadcasting booth – albeit comfortably from home – seemed logical.
“This partnership with ESPN and The Walt Disney Company reflects an ongoing shared commitment to bring fans fun, innovative content,” said Peyton Manning in a press release. “ESPN+ has been a great partner for Omaha Productions [Manning’s production company] As we have grown the The Places franchise, we look forward to working together to create a new MegaCast format that has something for everyone.”
The Manningcast was a huge hit last year, and fans loved the lighthearted commentary the Manning brothers and guests brought to the show. It served as a solid foil for the traditional broadcast crew, who was the only option when Manningcast was off the air.
