Multiple charges included in latest reports from Unity, Macklin, and Wilkie RCMP
Some criminal activity was reported on the Unity, Macklin and Wilkie RCMP reporting list this week.
One of the arrests came after members initiated a traffic stop but the vehicle fled from police, another following a complaint about a domestic dispute, and finally one that emerged after members of Provost received harassing communications:

UNITY REPORTS
· RCMP received a theft report. This matter is still under investigation.
· Police received a complaint under the Mental Health Act. Members raised the issue of the complaint.
· Members spoke to an individual about the transfer of a firearm.
· RCMP received a report of a collision between two vehicles in Unity. There were no injuries. This matter is still under investigation.
· Police received a report of an injured deer in a ditch off Highway 21 north of Unity. Members patrolled but could not find the animal.
· Members received a complaint of criminal harassment, but there was insufficient evidence to proceed.
· RCMP received a fraud complaint but there was insufficient evidence to proceed.
· The police received a traffic complaint. Members initiated a traffic stop, but the vehicle fled from police. Unity RCMP members assisted Kindersley RCMP in locating and arresting the vehicle driver. A 34-year-old woman from Drayton Valley, Alberta has been charged by Kindersley RCMP with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, two counts of fleeing a peace officer and mischief. Additional charges are brought by Unity for fleeing police and dangerously operating a motor vehicle..
WILKIE REPORTS
· RCMP received a complaint of assault. Members attended but the complainant declined to proceed.
· Members attended the sudden death of a 62-year-old Scott-area woman. The death was not suspicious.
· Police received a trespassing complaint but there was insufficient evidence to proceed.
· There was also a bogus 911 call.
MACKLIN REPORT
· RCMP received a complaint under the Mental Health Act. Members raised the issue of the complaint.
· A 33-year-old woman from Timberlea, Nova Scotia, has been charged with assault and possession of a weapon for dangerous purposes after members received a complaint about a domestic dispute.
· Police received a report of a vehicle collision with a deer. There were no injuries. Reported for insurance reasons.
· A 50-year-old Macklin man has been charged with assault with a weapon, assaulting a police officer, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and two counts of making threats after members received a complaint about threats.
· There was also a false alarm.
